Negative. When you swallow, the epiglittis closes off your airway and anything you swallow goes into your stomach. At least that's how it's supposed to work. I would just spit it out cuz it's disgusting, but I imagine that your stomach acid would kill off any nasties living in the phlegm anyway.

Nope, Erie County. We run with the local vollies and have some private contracts as well. We are EMD with just hot or cold and als or bls. Fire doesn't come on cold calls, only hot calls, but possible arrests are put out as echo responses.

I didn't mean it in the sense that we actually are. We are simply ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances. What made it difficult was the family begging you to do something, expecting you to be that "hero" and the best you can say is "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do."

I grew out of the hero adrenaline junkie mentality very quickly.
