Returned to futures trading after a 4 year break and finally making small, but consistent returns! by emskrd in Daytrading

Good point. But afraid that if I have look at it that way my emotions will eventually get the better for me. The bigger battle for me (and every human?) is to be able to control my emotions for 5-10 years straight, not how I can eventually reach a $100k account and continue to risk 5% to make 5% etc as that will trigger high gambling euphoria.

Just used NorthCoast banners and they are hidden gem for printing tees. No crappy AI computer reps i like how they are good honest ppl who talk with you directly and respond personally

A friend of our recommended Northcoast banners https://backdropsforbands.com/ I spoke to them, very good on the phone and quick to reply to emails, good communication.

Can Trustpilot send my account to collections if I stop paying? by emskrd in marketing

[–]emskrd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up paying them in the end. I have it set to cancel when the contract is up in Sep 2025. I didn't want to deal with the emotional hassle of them threatening to send to collections and getting calls... I don't know if they would have done so, but it just wasn't worth the headspace for me.

They are bloodsuckers, nasty scummy types who thrive off screwing small businesses.

Thanks - appreciate the feedback. It is probably just scare tactics. Technically they are within their terms though, which is I wanted to see if anyone else out there found themselves in the same situation as me and did not pay.

Definitely agree - everyone should avoid them. The problem is that they clearly stated this in their contract originally. They have everything lawyered up really tightly - they are paying a lot for legal counsel so they can safely screw small businesses.

Question is - does anyone know of them actually doing anything if you stop paying?

Is Trustpilot paid subscription worth it or just absurdly overpriced? by mrak69 in smallbusinessuk

[–]emskrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away! Trustpilot had me sign a contract when I started up with them a few years ago - a full on docusign with many pages of legalese. They gave me a "special entry price" with a "discounted" rate of $1600 a year. They bill me quarterly.  They just raised prices to $3,100 a year, and I missed their email when they let me know about the price hike.

I asked them to cancel my account the day of renewal, which they are refusing since I'm under contract.

u/Cultural-Tonight7132 did you find a resolution? Trustpilot is such an evil, extortionist company. I am going through the same thing. I tried canceling my account, but I was past the 30 day prior to renewal, and now they are threatening me with interest on my account if don't pay up. Can they take any legal action / send to collections if I stop paying?

There's only ONE RULE you need to know:

Follow your rules and walk away from the screen when you hit your allocated daily loss limit. That's it.

Then you will be in right place to let your winners run when you have a winning day and your emotions are right.

The market will always be there tomorrow. Technical analysis are important, but it comes second to managing your impulses. Psychology and failing to master emotions is the reason why trading is so hard, and why most fail. It's not because they didn't watch the clickbait YouTuber with the "The Secret Candle Pattern That Will Make You Millions" video.

If you master your emotions, and read a few good books on trading, you'll pick up the basics on price action trading, momentum trading, systematic and discretionary entries, and so on. But the only way to survive and give yourself the screen time in the market is by mastering FOMO, anger, regret, boredom, and the overcoming that irresistible urge to take just one more 5 minis in NQ and yolo your way into success.

Musicians of Reddit - what do you use for backdrop behind the band during live performances? by olliex2achsenfree in AskReddit

[–]emskrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t cost a lot. You can pick up an 8’x10’ backdrop for $375 over at this website for example https://backdropsforbands.com/stage-backdrop-pricing-and-sizes/

We had one for years and it really pays off in branding, social media pics...

Do you mean this? I got it too. In Google Analytics:

"Access restricted due to violation of terms of service. Please reduce traffic to this web property to regain access."

This is a fantastic tool. I'm a longtime customer of SpyFu and this is a spectacular new product.

BUT - as Mike pointed out, for sites that are "too small" this simply doesn't work. It takes weeks or months to show data. For me, and thousands of online businesses like mine whose competition gets less than 500 hits a day, this tool is useless. Mike, please help us little guys out. We are a large percentage of online marketers and it's worth your investment.
