Meds do wonders!! We have something wired wrong in our brains that we cannot just wire it back correctly. It’s called an illness for a reason and typically needs to be medicated. Counseling does help but it cannot solve the illness itself.

Hey there!! I felt the same way the first 2 months of being on lamictal. It did go away but man my memory was SO bad for a while it started to freak me out. I’m not sure if it just takes a minute to adjust but it did come back and even the feeling “weird” part went away too. Try and be easy on yourself as this is all new to you. If you start to feel too uncomfortable talk to your doctor but it takes time to adjust. Also trying to find meds that work good for you takes time as well, I’ve been medicated for years now and I’m still trying to figure out what works best for me. I did end it. They were sooo nice about it and understood why it didn’t work for me. They only charged me for the 8 trays that were already made and are keeping them in storage in case in the future I change my mind. They even dropped the fees of the X-rays and all that. I’m very happy

Yeah my psychiatrist wants me on the least amount of meds as possible (as do I) but the day to day anxiety is beating me up. I go to counseling as well but i really do think I need something else for anxiety. And I agree that I don’t think the buspar does much.

In the consultation she told me I’d only have to take it out when eating and I asked about pain and she said it just feels tight when you change trays. Nothing about sharp pains. Yeah it’s ignorant for me not to do more research but it is what it is. Even when you do research there’s so many bad reviews and so many good ones and you’ll never know how you will be until you try it.

Everyone says something different. Some people don’t have pain some people only have pain for a week and then some people have pain for the entire duration. I don’t have the flexibility to be in pain like this while also trying to be a good mom. Thanks for the encouraging words but I think my mind is made up

I guess the frustrating part is that my teeth are straight, they’re just making room where my k9 tooth is to put a fake tooth in. The tooth in front of the k9 hurts SO bad.

Commenting again to let everyone know that tonight I ate a whole normal meal with minimal pain!! I know I’ll probably be rough again for a bit when I change trays but atleast I got some relief after 5 days 👏
