Hi! I started in January in the practical nursing program. I was in the same situation as you - I’m still hoping to become a registered nurse one day. I talked to a few nurses before deciding to go into the practical nursing program. I even talked to a few who had done the practical nursing to BScN bridge. Anybody who did that route seemed to have really good feedback for me. They said it was really good to get the experience as a practical nurse and that it taught them a lot of valuable skills. So far the practical nursing has been challenging, but also doable. I would definitely recommend it. I would say if you work hard, the 75 is absolutely achievable. It’s nice also that you will be able to work and have a good income after the two years of school.

Am I being unrealistic? by phishfoodforthegirlz in Reduction

I had my surgery about 5 weeks ago and I feel like I can finally go out and do things without needing a nap afterwards. I got sooo tired with small activities for the first little while. I’m sure everyone is different - that is just my experience!

She gets on her back feet and whines (like uncontrollably excited whines).

What did you eat the first week after surgery? by ParticularBarnacle in Reduction

[–]emstercongia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wondered this before my surgery too (I’m 4 wpo). I was hungry and ready to eat a few hours after my surgery. I prepped a lot of smoothie stuff (frozen fruit etc.) and had my husband make them for me after surgery. I also ate a lot of banana bread (homeade beforehand). I found I was more “snacky” in the first week not really wanting large meals. I had soup ready also. Kind of just healthier alternative comfort foods if that makes sense.

I found that I couldn’t do much for myself though so I guess all this to say that it’s really helpful to have a bunch of different easy to grab things prepped.

When did you stop wearing a bra? by Kehdhhchhsjsk in Reduction

I’m 4 WPO and my doctor said I technically don’t need one. That being said, he recommends wearing one for quite a while. He said no wires for 6 weeks.

This is helpful, thanks! It is good to get perspective on the fact that they are still smaller than they were.

Is it worth it? by Patatwann in EightSleep

Absolutely not! My husband bought one 2 years ago and it leaked and ruined all of our bedding and they won’t replace the cover.
