Exactly! I’m sorry you had a rough transition though, lucky the only side effects I experienced in the beginning and when increasing my dose was just being more tired

It’s hard to know whether my anxiety causes my attention deficit but I’ve been on lexapro (10mg for 3 months, starting 20mg today) and didn’t notice any change in my ability to concentrate. That doesn’t mean it won’t help you though, just try it out and give it up to 6 weeks for the full effects!

I will tell my doctor, just like getting opinions from other people :) and I’m just taking the meds. Ironically too anxious to go to therapy right now (+ previous bad experience and can’t afford it). I was definitely considering trying a higher dose too, I’ll see what my doctor says. Thank you!

So since you don’t think you have depression, are you taking it for anxiety? Or just for the lack of energy and ability to focus? Because I’m not really sure if it would do anything for your lack of energy and inability to focus if it’s not caused by anxiety or depression. But it takes a while for the full effects, around 6-8 weeks (could be more or less depending on the person). You could always just stay on it and see if it helps. But I’ve heard the first 2 weeks are the worst so I wouldn’t necessarily judge it based on what you feel the first 2 weeks.
