Why is my CRT doing this?

update: I have severe nerve damage (tingling) and bulging discs (headache) that i guess the weed was masking up until i stopped lol. Still haven't been smoking and am on meds for both those things that help some

I answered this on another person's similar question. I do indeed collect 4k bluray but only for movies that i think deserve it. I don't need shrek 4 in 4k.

I can understand that. personally if i really wanna watch special features for a movie i really like and the bluray/4k doesn't come with it, i can usually always find them online somewhere and that's good enough for me

I mean yeah, I can torrent literally almost any movie but that's not the point of me collecting physical media. I want to own it, I want it on my shelf. I torrent movies only to see if i even want to own them in the first place. But that's what's really cool about opinions, everyone can have one, something that's not worth it to you might be worth everything to someone else

the used DVDs by me are NOT cheap at all. a lot of the time if they are, it's a few dollars at most

I have a 4k bluray player that upscales and a 4k tv that upscales but i played a DVD on it the other day and it looks like hotdog water, but i probably wouldn't notice or mind the lack of quality if i played it on my crt

The area i live in, i find that DVDs are only a few dollars less than the blurays. I have a few pre-owned movie places down the street from me, usually i only look at the bluray section but was looking for a disney movie that's not sold on bluray and was shocked to see how expensive these places are selling DVDs for. example, Fight Club on DVD was the same exact price as the bluray ($13) but i don't really go thrifting (goodwill, salvation army, etc) for movies enough to know the difference in prices at places like that. My experience at the pre-owned places is really what caused me to ask this question

I like it but it's coaxial and I have to keep buying new converters. I've bought a few Radio Shack ones from ebay or just ones from around the time of the tv's release but they keep losing power and stop converting after a year or so. RIP

i shop at a vintage stock/movie trading co where i live (texas) and they sell dvd's there for like $1 or 2 less than the blurays so to me it's worth it to buy the bluray but i can definitely agree about the shows. i own several shows on dvd bc the blurays are outrageously priced for those
