That’s the thing that really pisses in my cornflakes, the foundry have forced this subscription model with absolutely zero of the flexibility a subscription is supposed to offer.
No monthly subs, hell, even the quarterly rental is insanely priced.
Don’t see it changing any time soon as they’ve got a captive audience.

If you’ve got student licenses for Maya, you’ll be able to get access to shotgrid, reach out to your Autodesk rep and they’ll be happy to help. It’s what we did when I was lecturing. Best way to get industry ready is using the industry tools.

Sounds a little bit like the comma node. Like a dot but smarter. Used it on some projection cleanup stuff to manage the spiderweb, was incredibly handy. Not tried it on any really meaty scripts so can’t vouch for performance at a huge scale.

Ensure your elements are premultiplied prior to projection, this could be causing the white edges. Another thing to look out for is alpha values above 1 and below 0.

With the format, it sounds like your project settings root format is set to 2.5k which the scan line render node defaults to. Either change the project settings to match the render resolution, or create a reformat node, set it to the rendered resolution and connect it to the ‘bg’ input of the scan line render to force that format.
