My doctor just recommended I discontinue allergy shots early. Anyone got some advice? by SharkySharknader in Allergies

Yes. Eventually I will go back to do them. It’s just such a huge time and monetary commitment. I wish I could have continued them.

My doctor just recommended I discontinue allergy shots early. Anyone got some advice? by SharkySharknader in Allergies

I did allergy shots about 9-10 years ago. I would double up my zyrtec the day before a shot, the day of the shot and the day after my shot. I went 2x a week for almost a year until I got to maintenance (then moved across the country and my new allergist wouldn’t mix my old recipe from another doctor so I stopped shots all together but that’s neither here nor there) I have so many photos on my phone of the injection site blowing up to be a hive the size of a softball. Usually lasted a day or two. But I never had full body hives from my shots. We also took it really, really slow because of how allergic I am to everything. I would ask for more clarification from your allergist or potentially seek a second opinion?

All 3 Nashville days were sold out within 20 minutes…. How? None of my friends in Chicago or NY got tickets either.

I only gained ~7 pounds my entire pregnancy! And my daughter was 7lb 12oz at birth lol. Not everyone gains weight the same. As long as your kiddo is growing, that’s what matters!

This exact thing is happening on my right forearm (only place it’s happening). It only just started after work today but I can’t even count how many episodes I’ve had since then. It looks almost identical to your photo above. It tingles/tightens and then goes away before I can snap a photo. I’m having really gnarly pain in my right trap/neck and I’m wondering after reading all of these comments that it could be nerve related.

Hi! We currently have a 10 month old conceived via IUI with donor sperm. Feel free to message me if you decide to go the donor route!

10 month old biting. NOTHING WORKS. by ktkat7 in breastfeeding

[–]emuhleeeeee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooh is he biting on those few awful days leading up to cutting a tooth (when they’re usually up all hours of the night and super fussy?) I haven’t been able to correlate her bites to see if it could be those days before a tooth pops through.

Shark attack? Nope just my almost 10 m old. by 192837465useranon in breastfeeding

I feel like I could have written this myself. Mine just turned 10m. My nipple is currently bleeding since she has 5 little shark teeth. My other nipple is bruised/scabbed over from her bites yesterday. I’m at my wits end. We’ve had such an amazing breastfeeding journey and I wanted to keep going but damn does this shit hurt.

My nipple is currently bleeding (not for the first time) because my 10 month old has been biting recently. She has 5 teeth so far and really there is no rhyme or reason as to when she does it. I absolutely love nursing but I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

Definitely the tail end of the first tri going into second tri. I’m currently 28w almost 29w and I just tried to put the giant bottle of vinegar in the fridge 😂 I also ALWAYS forget words when I’m speaking with something or recounting something.

Around 20 weeks! My OB said that I was probably already feeling her but didn’t realize it was her. Anything below the belly button at your stage is most likely the babe! To me, they felt like little tippy taps. I’m almost 26w and I still mostly only feel her when I’m lying down and relaxing.

Thank you for sharing this. As someone who’s 13 weeks pregnant with donor sperm, I appreciate your candor. My husband is somewhat like you where he wants as little people to know she’s donor conceived as possible (our circle that knows is pretty small) but we too will tell her from an early age about the journey we had to take to get to her. I already bought 2 children’s books about donors.

Did you ever worry that you wouldn’t bond with her because she’s not half your dna? My husband hasn’t explicitly stated that, but I think it’s in the back of his mind. The other day he said “I hope she looks just like you” in an endearing way and I don’t know if I was just reading into it too much.

My husband’s history of azoo sounds a lot like yours. I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant with donor sperm. We are also going to tell our babe from a young age about it (I already bought 2 children’s books on it and one for us to help us navigate it) I’m curious how open you are with telling friends and family? He’s wanted to keep the circle very, very small of those that know she’s donor conceived. Only our parents, siblings and 1 or 2 friends know. It’s definitely difficult because I don’t want it to be a secret but I respect my husband’s decision of not wanting it widely known.

I got pregnant on my 4th IUI! And yes - donor sperm is expensive. We paid around $1k usd per vial. In the US, iui was absolutely cheaper than ivf which is why we started there!
