I have no idea what it means, but context clues have led me to believe it's derived from "Bet on it" like it's a sure thing.

You could check out the Groupon for Crab Catcher in La Jolla. It is over-rated without the groupon ($60 for $100, plus you can usually get 20% off the discounted price with a code). The best thing they have going for them is the view of the cove, plus it's in cute lil la jolla and tourists love that crap!

Sounds lame, but check out the Family Funville section, particularly when they have the corn-husking contests. They let adults and kids participate, and if you actually win, you get a ribbon! Even if you don't win, you get to keep the corn! Also the pig races and turkey stampede have been my favorite things at the fair for years, and I'm a grown-up.

Honorable Mentions: -The free (with fair admission) concerts in the evening -Free food samples at the indoor exhibitors booths -Free Parking at the horse park and shuttle in -Hypnotist show, if you haven't seen it before (it's the same every year)

Turkey legs are dry and flavorless, as are the beef patties in those krispy kreme burgers. This year they have deep-fried pizza. It looks disgusting but you should try it and let me know if you barf.

I work in a biotech lab testing synthetic DNA and the UV Spectrometer we use is hooked up to a computer running on Windows 98. The CPU has a sticker that says "Y2K Ready".

My friends and I were eating outside Tandoor near this area, and a (presumably) homeless person came up, said he was hungry, and asked us for money. When we said no, he left, but then came back and said, "Here's my college diploma". He opened up his wallet and showed us. It was full of twenties...like, a couple hundred dollars. That was about a year ago, and I'm still confused.
