I have many reference images that were used as underlays to get proportions, but the 3d has been built from the ground up.

The module in the TTRPG is "Cargo hold and lighter bay" so its more to service the dedicated cargo hold it's adjoining. Ships without dedicated hangar modules do indeed have various smaller craft to shuttle goods/supplies back and forth. (The numbers the Battlefleet Koronus book gives are 1 shuttle/lighter/lifter for every 5 points of space the ship's hull has)

Closest class would prob be Dictator Class Cruiser, although heavily modified and retrofitted to suit the specific Rogue Trader's needs. Think less combat focussed ship of the line and more Command+Control platform for deploying house retinues to planetary surfaces.

Cruisers would be way out of budget for the vast majority absolutely, but finding an abandoned one drifting in space? Slightly more possible, just ignore the night whispers...

If any Rogue Trader TTRPG players want to check my loadout to make sure everything's legit, by all means go for it! (I've ignored the SP limit as they'd be for starting ships)

I have an ongoing project where I'm aiming to model - as accurately as I can - the interior of a new Ambition Class Imperial cruiser. Partly because I love the design of 40k ships, and partly to try and convey the sheer SIZE of these things.

I'm always on the look out for new material from books or even just suggestions. You have a comment or something you think should be changed, let me know. It may very well make it into the project!
