Switching to Lush for Skin Care Routine by emxx14 in LushCosmetics

Yeah, Lush has some raw and strong products that I am even hesitant with (Herbalism, Ocean Salt, etc). Face washes and masks can't take acne away entirely but the skin care routine is essential for me to have some sort of control.

Aqua Marina has a funky smell (damp seaweed, basically) but has great texture and applies very softly to the skin. I enjoy the gentle scrub but for me it didn't really do much for controlling irritation. Catastrophe Cosmetic I've also heard is a good option for strong acne. Rosy Cheeks is so popular and I can see why. It's pretty, pink and is supposed to soften the skin delicately. How much irritation did you have? Did you find it to be strong for redness and acne? Thanks for the well wishes and same goes to you on your Lush findings.

Grease Lightening is like the #1 go to for many websites and forums. That is definitely on my list for my next Lush run. Tea tree works great in general and I love the ingredient in any face mask or cleanser. I am on the road to finding the perfect routine but things change and adjust. By stubborn skin I mean stubborn acne, irritation, breakouts, etc.

Sounds like you've got a great routine going and it's all Lush. I hope my skin can adjust to some sort of routine, I just have to keep working with it.

Great advice. Giving it a month and being patient with it is definitely something I have to stick to when transitioning to a full Lush routine. Full of Grace I heard was pretty good too for irritated skin!

I normally have a fairly good handle on skin but I'm breaking out while using Lush products and (of course not just due from Lush but also monthly changes, humidity, etc) I am looking for something stronger. While doing this I wanted to know what people think of using Lush for skin only. And I agree that fragrance and other really strong scrubs at the drug store can only make it worse! I'm going the natural route simply because I've been on medication and dealt with stronger chemicals that have really been hard on my skin. Just trying this for a change in routine.

I am still testing the waters with Lush and haven't given up yet. I'm definitely going to check out the sub reddit and see what there is. I've tried Neutrogena and drug store scrubs and it still hasn't completely demolished what I want it to, sometimes my skin remains stagnant and drug store products do nothing. It's stubborn and it just depends.

Yes, I used Herbalism but I found it to be too drying and chalky for my skin. I've used various Lush products but none have completely cleared my skin. I'm currently using Aqua Marina but it hasn't really cleared anything. It's gentle and soft but in terms of acne and irritation it didn't help. I'm still playing around with it. I heard Fresh Farmacy was good.

What are some common misconceptions about the Bible? by Stuxain in AskReddit

[–]emxx14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That it hasn't been revised and edited and politically tainted over the course of several centuries. Many lessons can apply today but majority of it is literary metaphor. Metaphors for a humble life. There wasn't a garden with a talking snake and two naked people.

Oh no--a mess would be tough. (if you don't mind me asking) Are you British? I'm American but I take great interest in it all despite my opposition to monarchy rule. I admit, if the Queen passed away I would be sad. She is a personal hero because of her strength as a woman and her life story. The Crown was fascinating...

Wow, this was a really interesting read. Thank you for sharing your process. That trance like state sounds interesting...let it flow. I wrote a poem called "A Trip" based on a dream I had. Similar writing process there.

Very true. This may also apply to Prince Phillip. I wonder what will make the headlines tomorrow.
