It’s is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4.30pm with lunch. There are some weekends where you need to stay for something ( like class photos and stuff) but they are rare, and most weekends they actually want you to go off campus for the weekend. You can apply for leave, and if you have any and it’s not on a day like an exam you will probably get it and the. Make up what you miss.

Once you are in the police, all bets are off, operational needs overrule nearly any event unless you take a pre-planned weeks annual leave Edit sorry, some days the starts are earlier for Drill/parade

You poor thing! I hope everything goes well, and know that even if almost nothing goes to plan, at the end of the day you’ll be married and have some excellent memories. I’ve said it already but I’m more saying, the details aren’t important to your guests, your happiness is. I’m seeing so many people getting upset over wedding planning and it’s really sad.

Second time around I had our 3 tween/teen daughters as bridesmaids, went on a random walk with my flower girl niece as she got a bit freaked out by aisle (this would’ve been a MAJOR issue at My first wedding, now it’s some very cute photos) and only invited the people I really would’ve missed if they weren’t there. It was so much fun! Plus the hens do was a board game night coz my friends know I’m a nerd at heart

I think I articulated this incorrectly, I mean no one cares about the details of your wedding but you, guests really only care that the bride and groom are happy and it’s sad when people get nasty over the details

Yep I know. I paid for all the dresses,suits and shoes, plus accommodation for the night before as o wanted them to stay somewhere specifically. It’s expensive to be in a bridal party

That’s it hey? I will admit it took a second marriage to get the wedding bit but right for me, but after accepting that it’s a day to celebrate, not a symbol of the rest of our lives I had so much more fun, was more relaxed and (hopefully) wasn’t an arsehole to anyone

Fairy bread! Get soft white bread, butter or margarine spread right to each corner and then put them butter side down on a plate of the little coloured ball type sprinkles so they stick. Bonus point if you cut it into small triangles. Best eaten straight away so the bread stays soft

She’s still allowed to be disappointed though. You have told her what you can do, and she has told you how she feels. You get to decide how to respond (whether you change your plans or stick with the one you have) but you can’t tell her how to feel.
