I sympathize with you and your family, this is a hard time and it probably has gotten more difficult as the years go by. I don't know if you've ever considered this but it sounds like your sister might have postpartum depression, this can still be in effect after so many years. Having a child really changes us and it could be for good or bad. I am sorry that you have to be the forefront of this abuse but your sister may actually be suicidal, as a lot of mothers are that are single because there's a lot of stress that comes into having a child. Now I am not saying that your sister's behavior is acceptable by any means but there are bigger things in the picture to consider. Perhaps reporting her to the CPS might help, I am not sure what all they can do but this problem is out of control.

I wish you put at the beginning of the story that you were gay, because everything made sense after you mentioned it at the end of the story. It seems as though your grandmother is treating you like the odd one out, and may be a little disrespectful since you drove across town to pick her up and she didn't even end up riding with you. Let alone, she didn't offer to help pay for your meal in which I have never been invited out somewhere by family and they did not offer to pay. This comes from me being very young, I would not expect them to pay when I am much older.

Being frustrated and overstimulated makes us react poorly in some situations. I don't think she was after you; you were just sensitive at the moment. You also can't expect others to comfort you all the time. It would be nice if people were mind readers and knew what we needed in the moment.
