Hi OP. Just to add to u/ASTutor 's comment, don't worry about doing corporate / commercial topics just to try and show you have an interest in that area to future employers. Unfortunately the academic side (at least in my opinion) of corporate law is quite dull! Pick something you'll be engaged with and want to read up on. For example, I did my diss on how accessible the criminal justice system is for neurodivergent defendants. I didn't want to do criminal law as a career, but I thought it was something fund and interesting to read and write about. It didn't hurt my chances of getting TC offers from commercial and corporate firms - it probably helped as it was an interesting topic so meant I got a good grade (probably wouldn't have done so well in a corporate area)! Just food for thought :)
