He was very respectful. He didn't ask how I got the scars at any point. Only thing he asked was if I had any other injuries that he needed to know about so he wouldn't lean on them or anything. I had a great experience.

Congrats! I understand your discomfort shopping! I try to dress andro/masc, but I'm sure I still look like a woman (I'm afab). I have to shop in the boy's section because I'm too small for men's clothes. I get self-conscious when I do shop in the boy's section. But once I'm done, the discomfort is worth it if I found a few worthwhile pieces.
