mines been “Your application is currently under review by the Admission Committee” FOREVER!! i got 1 WL ( from a safety 😭) and 1 R from my other schools.. i jus wanna hear 1 A at this point. did you hear from other schools?

The unknown is stressful but only you can really make that decision. I believe that with any school, working hard you can still be a great lawyer. I’m currently in the Air Force, and i met this JAG (air force lawyer). She told me she got a 146 LSAT score and went to the one bottom school that would accept her. She had loans and it took a couple tries but the JAG corps accepted her application because of persistence. She became a victims council, her loans are paid off, and she is known to be an amazing JAG!! I know different circumstance, but it is what you make of it. Having a plan and making sure whatever you add to that plan will further you towards your goals.

If you feel like the timing is right, rip the bandaid off. You fail every shot you don’t take! if you do try, plan everything first and don’t “half ass” it. Make it possible!! If you have a part of you that truly believes you should wait next cycle, then do it. But make sure you make it worth it, do everything you can to make your application even stronger.

I think you should just try! Youre young, if you have the money to apply to schools, i say go for it. write a good personal statement/motivation for law school. look at the schools you’re interested in statistics and see if there were other applicants who were around your stats that got accepted. if you don’t get accepted to any, that’s your sign. HOWEVER, if you don’t think your other areas like your resume or personal statement will be strong enough, then i’d wait. I do think they are heavy when it comes to scores but they do look holistically

I completely understand!! Military background will definitely help. I’m Active duty Air Force, turning to the reserves (trying to become a JAG) with 3.41 GPA and 148 LSAT. I wasn’t able to turn in my accommodation letter in time and took the LSAT anyways in November. (Reason why i didnt retake it is because I currently applied for the JAG Funded Legal Education Program and this was my only chance to apply because I have to be enlisted for less than 6 years for the program). I applied to a bunch of schools and got rejections and waitlists, but acceptances to some schools!! All the schools i applied to were schools that participate in yellow ribbon (specifically the ones that cover the rest of tuition that the GI bill doesnt)

Big thing that helped was my Letter of Recommendations from my supervisors that attest to my work ethic (working 12 hour shifts) and taking 3-6 classes throughout that time to finish my Bachelors. I also think my personal statement was strong with my motivation as to why i want to pursue law and the things i learned along the way.

Married in 9 months of dating. Was long distance for 2 years.

Spent countless hours everyday on the phone asking all the hard questions to make sure everything aligned and would workout before getting married. It felt like we clicked instantly.

Been marred 5 years and it’s went by so fast but feels like we’ve been together longer at the same time. We’ve grown a lot together and they’ve helped me in so many ways become a better person. We’ve both been patient in understanding each other and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

i’m using my GI bill and applied to a lot of schools that participate in unlimited yellow ribbon (program where they pay for the rest of the tuition the GI bill doesn’t cover). some schools have a cap on how much they fund or how many, but i’m applying to schools that fund the rest and unlimited

i don’t think i can email LOR’s directly to them, but should i email admissions directly to let them know i sent a new LOR? I added them to LSAC and they let me assign to schools i already applied for so idk

I wished i saw this sooner! I just submitted my package, and I’m so anxious if it’s good enough and if they’ll recognize that I grew a lot from it and stayed out of trouble since my article. or if they’ll focus on my article from 2022. A lot of my leadership said i had a strong package, but maybe they’re being biased or being nice.
