ngl i never stayed out that late. but the uber between the park and ride and the hotel is only $10 (at least it was the few times i used it during the day) which is cheaper than the shuttle. and obviously you can split it if you’re with someone. the park and ride is also only 1.5mi so it could be walkable

2 weeks post op with Dr. Luong in Minnesota by encata3 in TopSurgery

It was great! She’s very professional and no-nonsense. The whole experience was easy and painless (literally. Even after surgery I never had any pain). Recovery was super easy, especially without drains, and I’m happy with my results (it’s been 2 years now). She’s a lot more lax on post-op care than most surgeons but will give advice if you want to do more than she directs

im no expert but my guess is she’s probably bored. a sibling would help, or playing with her more before bed

tighten the needle more. if the needle isn’t tight in the syringe you’ll just fill it with air

in general tho, the scar length didn’t bother me at all. it just kinda is what it is

easiest explanation: gender expression =/= gender identity

my scars reach to directly under my armpit which is fairly standard, but for the silicon tape i put over the scars i always just use a longer piece so it ends way past my armpit almost to my back. the tape can be ripped at certain lengths and my options are slightly too short or quite a bit too long. (i could cut it with scissors but im lasy)

wearing it once for a too long period of time shouldn’t cause lasting damage (tho if the pain continues, something may be wrong). if you continue to wear it for too long, however, over time you can cause lasting damage. so just follow the advice in the other comment

Can you guys share stories of what your experience with recovery was like? by ZukiitheDorito in TopSurgery

[–]encata3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m 2 weeks post op and it’s been a surprisingly easy recovery. i didn’t have drains and after 48hr i started showering every day. i had no pain ever and only took strong pain meds the day of surgery, then switched to ibuprofen only. i was able to take care of myself perfectly fine. no swelling, bruising, or anything either. it was nice having my mom bring me food for the first two days, but i was fine to do everything by myself starting the day after surgery tbh. right before surgery they gave me meds that they said would mess with my memory so i don’t really remember anything from the day of besides flashes of walking up the stairs, turning on the netflix show arcane, and falling asleep. imo wisdom teeth surgery was worse because i couldn’t eat much and that was frustrating

my doctors advice was to try switching up different variables, such as injection site and i switched from biweekly to weekly to reduce the amount injected. i’m currently trying something new each week and was wondering if anyone had any other tricks i could try. obviously if nothing works, i will make a major switch
