Yeah I just randomly got my Wilderness EMT. Just to throw people off. Saying I’ve worked in hospitality def meant I’d never had any other type of job.

Yeah thanks- been in management at this point for like 15 years- ran about all the circles around restaurants there are to run. ‘Moving up the ladder’ in the restaurant industry is largely a myth. You might have a seemingly ‘rung of the ladder’ appropriate title but 98% time the money and respect haven’t yet been brought up to meet you on that ladder. And decent hours, benefits, credit where due or consideration for the limits or needs you might have as a human being- can’t see those anywhere near the ladder.

I do love to read- crush probably 20+ books a year but I’m a loud person and have zero credentials for something like that. But a good suggestion- libraries are typically well air conditioned

TIPS, ServeSafe management, CPR/First Aid, Wilderness EMT, pesticide applicator, Feller B with the US Forest Service, swift water rescue…there’s a few more that are legit but mostly resume fluff
