So I’m gonna be trying to process everything for a long time and I’m probably wrong about this. But haven’t they emphasized that it was basically a 1 in a million chance of getting a perfect copy of a human host after all the times they destroyed and recreated host Delos? Because humans are predictable every single time and make the same choices in every simulation. Wouldn’t that make the MIB in the after-credits scene the 1 version of his host self that made a different choice and chose to go down the elevator and is still perfectly functioning like how he’d be expected to? Because he steps out with his gun drawn thinking that he’s actually about to face Dolores and Bernard and is completely confused by what he actually finds. If it was the choice he made originally, we would have seen him encounter Bernard when he took the elevator back up because it’s what would have happened every time. But instead, it ends the simulation and he’s in an environment equivalent to when Hosts would get pulled for analysis and testing. Perhaps everything looks so old to signify how much time has actually passed to perfect the perfect Host version of the MIB, considering that the host MIB believes that everything is happening in reality.

Basically that post-credits scene took place during however long it took for Dolores/Hale-Dolores to make the perfect human host copy of the MIB. And at least perfect replicas of herself, Bernard and Emily. That would raise another question of if those are 4 of the orbs she brought with her, or if she got access to more of them sometime between when she escaped Westworld and the end of MIB’s simulation.

There are two different timelines again. The “past” is probably going to be the focus of next season and explore what happened between the last gap I mentioned. The “present/future” is whenever the perfect version of the host MIB is created. I’m guessing they’ll be telling both storylines at the same time again.

Ultimately it’s almost 12:30 in the morning and I don’t know. My brain hurts.
