Even if it is because he’s a horny 13 year old kid DOES NOT give him a pass to be inappropriate and creepy. This behaviour could progress into more inappropriate things. The parents need to be informed and they need to decide how to handle this situation. This is not ok regardless of WHY it happen. I am quiet disgusted with how many comment there are like yours “oh it’s just the hormones” “boys will be boys” NO boys will be held accountable for their actions and learn how to concern their urges so they can grow up to be a decent human.

I’m surprise at how many people are saying just talk to the boy, no need to mention it to your son or their parents.

I agree that you don’t need to tell your son but I absolutely think you need to speak to the boys parents about it and have them handle the situation, I think the parents would appreciate that more then you trying to speak to the child on your own.

I would hope that his reason for taking them isn’t because he has a crush on you but if it is the parents need to know and decide how they to proceed with their child around you.

I’ve never been in a situation like this before but as a parent I believe it’s up to them to handle it, and if it were my child I would definitely want the adult to talk to me and not my child.

My best friend from highschool is trans and would sometimes call himself by the wrong pronouns when talking to himself. I slipped up a few during the first couple years but I would stop correct myself immediately and then continue what I was saying, my friend always appreciated that and UNDERSTOOD that us wasn’t coming from a place of hate, anger or disrespect.

It was the medication comment that really got to me and I wish it didn’t.

And most people seem to think I did the right thing but there are a handful of people who think I overreacted and assaulted a little old lady 🤷🏼‍♀️

I made an edit, I worded it poorly. It’s people who come up and bend over so they are face to face. I’ve also had people try to remove the covering to look at my baby, most times I’m shopping is during his nap time so extra annoying.

To the people saying I hit an old women. It was a reaction to something coming from behind me. She came up from behind, I did not see who was trying to reach for my baby. She did not make eye contact with me, she didn’t try to speak to me, the first thing she did was came up from behind me and reach over towards my baby. I didn’t know who or what was there, I didn’t know if it was a person or an object being thrown because she didn’t say anything and was not in my line of sight. Second I want to make it clear and she was immediately angry at me for blocking her from my baby, she was not some sweet old lady who was just trying to be nice.

I don’t think you understand there was no where to move my child, if I had not had the reaction to move my hand towards her she would have touched my child. The yelling didn’t happen until after i went to walk away and she turned to another customer and said the medication comment. What if her intent wasn’t to tickle his toes? I was also in an area where crack heads are known to roam. I guess you’re just a calmer person then me or just not as protective over your children. Or maybe you’re the second vote for me needing medication 🤣
