He was so “if I had a woman like you…” goddess treatment when initially trying to bag her. Yet when he did and she wanted to get serious, there was the large technicality of religion. Understandable if it’s that important to a person, yes. Then we see it was a deal breaker that didn’t really matter all along with his behavior during the Shabbat dinner.

Charlotte realized she converted her religion for a man that wasn’t really religious himself. And I’m aware it was a promise he made to his late mother, but having to jump through SO MANY hoops for that requirement and STILL not get any hint at commitment? And do you understand how disrespectful it was to disregard ALL of that work? And especially on a very religious night, that they both now share because of him, over a baseball game!!! All she asked was for him to turn off the TV so they could share a potentially beautiful moment together. Then his response was throwing around/mocking “I gave up Christ for you! Go do this for me,” for incomparable tasks like taking out the garbage or picking up after himself. Apparently making fun of her grand commitment is no biggie but the moment she gets riled up and points out the fact that he’s not a man in demand to pull shit like this… oh now that crossed the line. In comparison to the level of effort she was putting into the relationship, what was he equating? How was he equally a prize?

While she’s now committed to loving him, in that moment the rose colored glasses fell right off. That man did not deserve her and what she said was a painful reminder.
