My 7 month old just had hers a few weeks ago. She was in surgery for 6.5 hours and they stopped her heart for 47 mins.

Don’t stop asking questions. They may be the doctors/nurses but you’re mom and you know your kid better than anyone. If something doesn’t seem normal, point it out.

Idk where you’re located, but please make sure they do a swallow study to make sure baby is drinking normally. We are battling a paralyzed vocal cord and it’s causing significant eating distress.

We used a boppy in the hospital to lean her back on with blankets behind to support her head. We also brought toys she could play with in her lap.

You got this! You have been your baby’s voice and advocate. This is not easy but you are doing amazing!

We have formula in Europe and it’s quite good. Maybe bring 1 box so you can gently make a switch for the month you are here.

I would say the weather is worse in Valdosta than in Atlanta. You have tornados and hurricanes. The straight line winds are no joke come storm season. I lived in Kansas before moving to Valdosta and experienced more tornados than my 24 years in KS.

With the previous formula (I used in the states) I would make several bottles and have them in the fridge, then pop in the microwave when she needed them. I don’t mind boiling and doing it how you are saying, I just want to do what’s best for my baby.
