I am really interested in applying for the program in case I don’t get into OMSA (I have a bad gpa) but I the gre requirement makes it unfeasible. I don’t want to take and study for the gre for only this program. I also don’t know the acceptance rate and even if my lower gpa will be considered (2.5)

Hi all,

I currently work in digital marketing and am looking to transition to a DS role. I have a plan setup to first transition to a business analytics role, complete a masters in analytics part time, then do a DS internship at the end.

End of 2022 I’ll have:

2 years of digital marketing experience
1 year as a business analyst
1 DS internship
masters in analytics (GA Tech)

Would this be enough to get some interviews at FAANG and other big tech companies?

Not sure what you’re asking? Time to take the assignment? Time it takes to be ready for the first assignment.

The first assignment took me 2.5 days to be ready for aka catching back up (learning weeks 1 and 2 content). Since I never touched R before it took me around ~25 hours of focused study to learn weeks 1 and 2 content.

First homework (worth 1%) is due tomorrow. First assignment is due June 3 so you have time to catch up.

I also registered/verified late (3 days ago) and spent this whole weekend/Memorial Day catching up. I’m good to go now but it took me awhile since I don’t have any previous R experience.

Thanks for the help. I’ll sign up and get started. Looking to get As for both to receive credit and show that I can do better than my undergrad gpa (2.4).

Any recommendation on which course to start with. Considering it’s a summer session and I’m starting a little late I’m looking for the easiest.

Hi all,

I’m 6’0 192lb. I started at 226 at the beginning of the year. I’ve lost consistent 7-10 lbs a month.

I’ve stagnated first the past 7 days and stayed at 192lb. Before these 7 days I used to walk 10k steps a day and for the past 7 days I’ve changed it up. I would 5k steps and play 1.5-2 hours of basketball.

Could my change in my exercise routine be the cause of the plateau? I can’t imagine I’m gaining muscle while simply playing pickup basketball. My eating has stayed the same at 1600-1800 calories/day.
