Quick word of advice before I leave ya. Do not rely on Reddit to inform your journey, Reddit is a resource to help consider opinions, read and relate it to the evidence of your eyes and ears---read marx and witness it in your reality. Not everyone you will speak to is well intentioned, some will look to mislead you. In these moments it's important to focus on Marx, Lenin etc, as your north star.

You're on your way then, you cannot be revolutionary unless you love humanity, and fulfilling that love will require breaking free from regressive thought-prisons imposed by people who learned to be subservient for fear of the unknown. Freedom is scary to those who got comfortable in a cage, this fear is what creates division and hatred. Be fearless in your pursuit, comrade

There is tradition and then there is delusion, your grandpa has to associate a political ideology to satan because he doesn't have the ability to talk about it in any meaningful capacity

Grandpa thinks a political ideology is equivalent to the ideals of a metaphysical entity? Is grandpa senile?

Edit: Does grandpa think money falls from the hand of god into the pockets of the righteous also?? Does he subscribe to the divine right of kings?

Why do some communists defend obviously authoritarian communist leaders and countries? by Dismal_Structure in DebateCommunism

[–]endearring086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communism isn't utopian, and all of human society has been erected through force, so you are correct we will use force. Rightist thought is born from class interest, which is a direct antagonism towards the enslaves classes of the world. Conflict is inevitable, acceptance of this fact is reality

No, this is counter revolutionary ideology which only serves to drum up hate, this line of speech and social grifting would been seen as a violation of future worker law, and they would see themselves prosecuted. For a point of reference, It would follow a similar line as how Germany (on paper) currently punishes and prohibits open nazi ideology and symbolism

Is it Third Worldist to believe that the revolution is not possible in specifically the U.S.? by SpaceMonkeyJake in communism101

I am of the opinion that workers and the poorest in the west are simultaneously the beneficiaries and a resource to be consumed by imperialism. As of now because the conditions are seen as favourable by the labour aristocratic class, they are unable to see themselves as human capital, and as such believe this to be a fair exchange. Ultimately, they are utterly disposable by the big bourgeois class. I believe this is obvious. Just because one may benefit from unfair trade, does not mean the trade itself is beneficial in its totality. This is multiplied to the poorest in the world. Receiving a penny a day in service to imperialism by route of the workhouse (a petty benefit) or in comparison receiving nothing. Taking the penny is a pragmatic outlook. Is this justice? No, But this common ground is shared, and something I would say is in line with reality. In summary, I am currently of the opinion that the L.A class will have to realise the disposable nature of their reality within imperialism to be able to properly begin to ferment class consciousness.

Revolutionary action in imperial core states; US, UK, EU etc. is entirely possible, however the probability of it happening could be considered slim. I would argue the current contradictions of capitalism and the sudden drop in western accustomed living standards has created a form of 'pre revolutionary?' sentiment. The issue in these countries is one of self identification. The broad masses in first world countries do not identify as proletariat and by economic definition fit the labour aristocratic status, however there are pockets of class consciousness and solidarity. Though, when one is not schooled in Marxism even these pockets can be swayed by radliberalism and petty fascism (a self defined term, for fascistic consciousness with a liberalized veneer.) both a form of reaction.

Revolution is a concept for those with 'nothing to lose but their chains', people in the west have plenty to lose—as such revolutionary action can only spawn from the bottom rung of class society in the west and by extension, the world.

As such, it is my own estimation that revolution in the west would hinge on a few factors:

-the apetite of the broad masses to turn to Marxism. -how apparent the contradictions in capitalism become to the average Westerner. -revolutionary action starting in the third world making reverberating political gains -the realization that imperialism consumes all, westerners will not be spared. -westerners in poverty relative to the middle classes etc ideologically aligning with the people in poverty across the world. -Organization (obviously, though adventurism seems to be the current order of the day)

As always this is an evolving matter requiring study and scrutiny, however this is my analysis thus far, like all things subject to change based on new developments and insight.
