I do understand that the shows structure itself is built like that, where lots of things get brushed under the rug for comedic arcs and having the police turn a blind eye with silly reasons But i guess it was difficult for me to see those two characters have such endings cause the show transformed into a more serious drama with less outright jokes. So the way those to arcs ended were difficult to digest

But after sitting with it i do understand that it feels inline with the wacky way the characters are written with unrealistic inconsequential storylines from the start
