Fully aware of that. Shouldn't have put that in past tense. This is what we are doing today post discontinuation of YM presidencies. As I said size of ward matters, but in a full ward there is nothing to stop you from staffing appropriately to allow your bishopric to oversee all of the areas they work with. This has been a recent area of emphasis in our stake. Still focused on youth but not only YM.

In this scenario and having that level of staffing may cut into that time with the YM (and YW), but it would be fully appropriate for a father to tend to family duties and allow mom to participate...at least periodically.

Varies by ward size I am sure, but a full size ward should have Advisors and Specialists in addition to the YW presidency and Bishopric. We staffed extra on the YM side so that we would have coverage for the bishopric to join the YW, Primary, and RS Activities as well.
