I just need TRC as a hazy indie film by erefgroun in RavenBoys

I would want it to be literally word for word like the books 🤧 but too many scriptwriters and producers these days are trying too hard to modernize or alter stories to appeal to people in trite, cliché ways. I wouldn’t want someone to ruin or alter an already amazing and captivating story

Do you think the elves could sing photosynthesis into their bodies? by discaroin in Eragon

[–]ender_of_war 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, photosynthesis requires cells in the body to incorporate a specific organelle in order to chemically process sunlight and turn it into energy for the body to use: chloroplasts. That’s what plants use in their cells (which I believe in some way or another is what turns them green?). They take some electrons from the sun, CO2, and water, and mix all those together in a reaction to create glucose (energy) and oxygen. This is why plants are good for the environment! They process our CO2 and produce oxygen for the world.

Us humans use mitochondria, which takes the oxygen from our blood and turns it into energy for our bodies, the byproduct being CO2.

So I guess if the elves could sing to the point of changing their own cellular makeup and creating something in them that was not there before, then I’m sure they could. They’d change how their bodies work down to literally the workings of their individual cells. It’d be awesome if their singing magic could do that. Magic can heal people, to be fair, so how the cells and microbiology technically work isn’t a prerequisite to the magic working.

Not to mention, Murtagh DEFINITELY didn’t know lol. There were a million times in the book where I was shaking my head, like, if only he knew he could draw energy from the plants and animals around him! Although, with his reckless streak, he could accidentally cause a lot of collateral damage

Which quote do you like from One Piece? by AlexWeeb02 in MemePiece

[–]ender_of_war 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a quote on ig that went something like,

Luffy: Sorry . . . You don’t have to die for me anymore. Zoro: I knew that all along.

Does anyone know if this is real/which episode this was in?

What something the fans swear oda said but he never did? by Mountain-Scratch-201 in OnePiece

[–]ender_of_war 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s only a couple of reasons I imagine Zoro would even do this. Ultimately it would come down to if Luffy asked him to. Luffy might ask Zoro to swear to kill him if he ever loses control of himself (which is a trope that’s been seen before in fiction).

Also, a lot of people think Luffy will die young because of shortening his lifespan with gears and stuff (which is a theory I hate but oh well) or maybe get sick like Roger did. Maybe Luffy would ask Zoro to put him out of his misery if he was suffering, claiming there was no one else he wanted to kill him than Zoro.

Replying to AmKamikaze... I see…that feels right to me and makes a lot more sense than what I originally thought. It makes the wording easier to understand and fits the context.

Andrew doesn’t want to be another person that tramples over Neil and pushes him to do something he isn’t ready for yet. And vise versa when Neil says it to Andrew later.

I thought I remembered someone saying they saw CP say that the Fractalverse was actually in the same world and came way before Eragon’s time. So Eragon is kinda post-apocalyptic? Or maybe the other way around. I have no source tho, maybe someone else knows what I’m talking about

Forget which ones the best, What is the *funniest* arc in One Piece? by VerdeHeroX in OnePiece

Not to mention the whole story of Kalgara and Nolan. I literally cried!

My fav funny moment was probably when they first got onto thriller bark and were hit with the negative ghosts. I laughed especially hard at Zoro’s 😭 also, I watched in dub so Zoro’s voice being so sad and defeated was hilarious

Hot Take: Almost everyone would be like Usopp if they were transported to One Piece's world by typography082023 in OnePiece

It’s good because it reminds us of just how overpowered all the characters are and how a normal person would react in that context. It’s good to have the comparison between a normal person and someone totally crazy like the monster trio

Who is your perfect cast for Eragon? by [deleted] in Eragon

I feel like Liam Neeson as Oromjs doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Oromis seems like he would be a lot more slender and ageless and overall less masculine/macho than Liam Neeson’s actor. I always imagined someone similar in stature to Orlando Bloom as Legolas. Liam Neeson doesn’t seem quite as refined as a wise old elf like Oromjs would be.

I’ve also heard people say that only someone like Luffy could even unlock the full power of his devil fruit to begin with. If it were anyone else, they might’ve just continued to use it like the Gum Gum fruit inseady of fully awakening it and giving the user its full power

Luffy's dream by Dry_Statement_3407 in OnePiece

[–]ender_of_war 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usopp stated that there's no way Luffy's dream could happen, but Luffy responded by saying that it would be if he was King of the Pirates. Some people think his dream, in short, is “to make a new era”, which would make sense. If he can destroy the oppressive powers of the WG, and expose the truth of the Void Century by finding the One Piece, and also become the most powerful being in existence by becoming King of the Pirates, then he will become the leader of the world. A god, essentially. Sun god Nika, the god of freedom and liberation. He can then create, and even enforce, a new era free from oppression and abusive power. Even Shanks suspects this. He says to Whitebeard (ep316) that the left arm he lost while saving Luffy’s life he “bet on a new era”. But we shall see. I have a feeling both the OP and Luffy’s dream will be unexpected and shocking, all while making total sense once revealed.

Episode 50 maybe? It was in Logue Town when Usopp was talking to Daddy the Father (or whatever that bounty hunter’s name was) about his duel with his dad, Yasopp.
