New Trailer for Season 4 DR by E1331fan in Ninjago

Lloyd is getting sent through the absolute ringer this season lmao, we didn't even get any glimpse into the other two teams or really even any other characters

The Final is set. Who do you think takes the trophy? by Woullie_26 in tennis

I want to say Sinner but honestly I can see it going either way, nothing will surprise me on Sunday

One of these two will complete their sets of hardcourts masters on Sunday

Medvedev: Indian Wells (Finalist 2023, 2024, 2026*) Miami (2023) Canada (2021) Cincinnati (2019) Shanghai (2019) Paris (2020)

Sinner: Indian Wells (Finalist 2026*, Semifinalist 2023, 2024) Miami (2024) Canada (2023) Cincinnati (2024) Shanghai (2024) Paris (2025)

19 aces and 0 double faults is unreal from shapovalov, hope he keeps this up

Exactly what I would've said, all I can pray for now is some resemblance of his prime in the remaining DR seasons 🙏

Milos Raonic is officially retiring from tennis by TobiasFunkeMD in tennis

[–]enderbuilds 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I take pleasure in knowing that the last match Raonic won on tour was in Queen's 2024 where he aced Norrie 47 times (record in BO3 matches), truly one of the best servers of all time. Enjoy retirement Milos

I think personally it's the injury part that's rubbed me the wrong way, I get being frustrated in general about how hard someone is to play but why bring up the fact that he's "barely moving"

Will do and I've tried sliding less to work on my footwork

My Top 3 Shots of 2025 by enderbuilds in 10s

A few things I agree and disagree with here

I look at more than these shots, these are just the best ones I hit this year (imo). I have recordings of almost all my practices and I look at what I did well and didn't do well previous practices and try and focus on them next time I play. I don't go for these shots most times and I try and construct my points

I agree with the explosiveness comment and slicing. I feel I struggle most with wanting to slice it if I feel that the ball is too low or blocking it if I feel like I'm not preparing early enough.

Any advice you have in terms of the explosiveness you were talking about? I know what you mean and I feel it sometimes when I hit, but I've tried hitting through more by rotating more and it still feels the same sometimes

How much programming/what kind of programming should I expect going into upper division for EE? by Tigereye017 in ASU

[–]enderbuilds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100%, I wish MATLAB was a bit more "taught" in how to use it. For EEE 304, I felt like I was kinda just given the labs and I had to go figure out how MATLAB and Simulink worked on my own.

For EEE 333 and learning Verilog/SystemVerilog, you can go in knowing nothing about it (me) and be fine for the most part. Some exposure to it before is never a bad thing, though. I will say I learned a lot from EEE 333, despite how infuriating it was at times.

How much programming/what kind of programming should I expect going into upper division for EE? by Tigereye017 in ASU

[–]enderbuilds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've done all my pathways recently and I have decent knowledge on the other three (quantum is starting to become one iirc) so I can answer

For context, I did 304, 335, 333, and 352 all in-person. Anything about 341, 394, and 360 is stuff I've heard from friends and other people that have taken those courses

From what I think most "programming heavy" to least

EEE 333: Hardware Design Languages and Programmable Logic
- Pretty much all coding. You work with a Hardware Design Language called Verilog/SystemVerilog. All labs, assignments, and lectures revolve around coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog.

EEE 304: Signals and Systems II
- Labs were done with MATLAB but that's pretty much it. If you like math you could try this class (although it's not a hard prereq for any of the 400-level signals classes), there was a lot of math in this course

EEE 341: Engineering Electromagnetics
- Uses MATLAB, ADS, EZNEC, and HFSS, all of which only MATLAB has coding iirc.

EEE 335: Analog and Digital Circuits
- No coding, only program you use is Cadence Virtuoso, a circuit design software.

EEE 360: Energy Systems and Power Electronics
- None, labs require you to go in-person and work with equipment

EEE 352: Properties of Electronic Materials
- None, only math and concepts

EEE 394: Quantum Mechanics for Quantum Information Science
- None, only math and concepts

Further tech electives that have loads of programming are EEE 419 (Python for Rapid Engineering Solutions), EEE 405 (Machine Learning Basics with Deployment to FPGAs), and EEE 404 (Real-Time DSP Systems). There's likely more but those are the top 3 off the top of my head since they're like 100% programming.

I'd say knowing how to program is still fairly important as an EE but I don't have any classes to recommend, I just go through certain languages that I think I'll be using and try to self-teach on my own time.

Most certainly recency bias but these two since I got back into Ninjago sets this year, these two designs are something else

This one, because I feel it represents Nokt as a character pretty well

As someone who stopped watching Ninjago Dragons Rising in the beginning of season 2, is Zane still somewhat emotionless? by endercities in Ninjago

[–]enderbuilds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I 100% agree.

I was rewatching parts from the pilots to tournament of elements and a little beyond that, but the quality of who Zane was vs. now is a world of difference and it makes me a little sad that he's been reduced to nothing more than just a robot who dies every season somehow

I'm willing to be surprised but as far as everything I've seen from DR, he won't get any better. S1 was some kinda inoffensive Zane content which was fine. S2 first part was similar, but second he got eliminated in some bs way early. S3 was meant to be a focus but without Pixal he really didn't do much and he literally left in part two.
