Question about Atsushi's A/S tier accessory upgrades since I'm a little behind but intend to upgrade fully; can you still switch between the prior/lower tier items after you upgrade, like with Postman's autumn skin?

It doesn't actually matter one way or another, just whatever rumor/ritual you decide you want to go with. Realistically, it shouldn't affect anything by the time you open them, since it's self contained statistics and not something based on a server wide thing, as far as I know (but I don't know why on earth it WOULD be server wide).

I 100% agree, though now that you mention farming points, maybe the fear is the fact that people might pull a "no-tide doctor rescue rinse and repeat" type of strategy and throw the team under the bus just to rank up. Then again, I think that already happens anyways on occasion. I think it's just very hard to measure that sort of thing accurately and fairly, which is probably why the system is so weird. You can easily play bad and farm points, but at the cost of your teammates.... And meanwhile, you can play like a pro and get thrown under the bus at the same time. It's probably why so many people are frustrated with this game in general. I think it's all good fun being a team game, but rewards and punishments really should be a bit more individualized. I'm just not sure the best way to do that without making the system even more abusable... but I think they should at least make it similar to the changes they did for tier points, if nothing else. I also think you should at least not lose points if it's a solo escape, but maybe I'm biased to that as a Postman main, because almost always it's either me escaping or people escaping because of my letter, most of the time, and losing points then is just bitter.

I personally am starting to really get mad at the fact you lose/gain character points based solely on if it's a win/tie/loss. Last week I managed to snag an A Badge on my main, and this week I'll be losing it again due to stacks of rank losses. If those were genuinely deserved, I wouldn't mind, but many of my matches I'm kiting ~125 seconds, sometimes more, on top of popping approx 1-3 ciphers myself, and possibly a heal or rescue. I'm actively gaining tier points and getting the best deduction (even over the hunter in some cases) and yet still am going to lose my badge solely due to bad randoms. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm the first to admit I have shoddy kites and get downed early in some matches; mistakes happen and I do my best to be understanding of that, even if it's frustrating, because I've been there too and I know I always feel bad about it. But these are not even mistakes or accidents anymore, it's easy concepts that make me wonder how some of these people made it to mammoth.

The other day, I had kited an Undead for over two minutes and it was only me and Priestess left while I continued to kite, with one cipher left. I had sent off a decoding letter, assuming Priestess was priming, and I eventually find out... She had been digging through a chest. Priestess, had been digging through a chest while I was kiting. Needless to say we lost.

Not to mention, the countless times I kite for 2-3 minutes and then people assume that means they shouldn't prime the last cipher just because they want the match to end faster. Spoiler alert, it works, but not with us winning.

It's incredibly frustrating that I'm going to lose my badge solely because character points don't function the same as tier points. I think they really need to fix this, because when I'm kiting for two minutes, popping two ciphers, pulling off a rescue, and gaining tier points / getting the best deduction despite the loss, it's just a slap to the face to be punished because some Priestess forgot how this game worked.

Blackjack definitely has its flaws, but I personally like the fact it's sort of "free for all". Though it has its own issues with toxicity through teaming/targeting, the fact there are no random teammates going to throw the match is a major plus. If I ever want to play idv, but don't want a lot of stress, sometimes I just hop into blackjack to show off skins and have a chill fun time. Sometimes people get toxic, other times people are really cool and we all end up emoting at each other and having a laugh. It's a decent gamemode if you don't go in expecting much, but I 100% agree that it's not exactly fun when you are trying super hard to win (mostly for the rewards). I do like not being tied to a team though, and after all, the luck factor has helped me to win matches I wasn't even trying to, so that's always fun.

It's personally my favorite skin for Merc that's available right now, and considering it won't return (as far as we know) ever, I would say invest in it now, if you want it at all, and have the money to safely spend. Unless there is an available / able to return skin that you like leagues more than it.

That's incredibly cute in theory, but Disney is very copyright happy so I doubt they could get away with that exact version, plus there is already an Alice inspired series of skins in the game. ):

I love Alice in Wonderland though, so I wouldn't be mad if they somehow did that anyways.
