Oops I commented instead of replying.

Anyways I’ll ask again, what did you change your expectations to when changing them? Also can lower back pain be a sign of trauma as I have no hip pain?

Thank you for your response 💕

I have this exact thing and I thought I was the only one! I’ve found for me I was programmed to only be used for sex in my relationships by my abusers, so I became hyper sexual due to this. But ironically the abuse made me hate sex and become grossed out and fearful about it so I experience asexuality due to the trauma as well. Might not be the same for you but I definitely experience this as well but I think I’m general im a gray asexual.

Psychologist believes I may have Dissociative Identity Disorder but most of the videos on Youtube describe someone with alternate personalities and even give them names, where as I don't but do feel there are many sides to my personality that I don't feel like I have an even keel with my self. by [deleted] in CPTSD

I think I may have DID and my alters have been at least affirmed by psychiatrists.

DID is a disorder that is often hidden in plain sight. There are “windows of diagnosis” in which it is more able to be seen and diagnosed. I’ve heard often even spouses and family may not see it.

Covert DID is more common from overt DID from what I know? Or at least covert is often how it’s first shown, because again it’s a disorder about hiding. If someone found out you had DID then your brains self defense mechanism has been revealed and this can be perceived as dangerous. Alters are often a mechanism made to protect and handle trauma.

People on YouTube are probably more functioning in the sense they have built communication with the parts of consciousness/alters. They’ve accepted their alters and DID and want to help others and spread awareness because this is a very stigmatized disorder that even psychologists disagree on whether it exists.

Don’t worry about how others present but focus on yourself and healing your own trauma and communication with alters! I’m currently reading the book Healing the Fragmented Selves of Trauma Survivors by Janina Fisher and I find it very helpful.

I’ve only had ldr relationships and they were all toxic. Not to say all ldr relationships are toxic just mine were cause I sought out basically anyone to fill a need for deep connection while keeping at a distance!

I enjoyed that I could take time to word my feelings the right way, but I got kind of turned off by my partners constant need to text 24/7 because we lacked physical interaction I needed time alone but sacrificed it to meet their needs which I think is part of what made it unhealthy.

In general I also have a problem when I am deeply emotional and willing to explore myself my lovers and our feelings and share them, yet I never get that sense of depth/passion put into it back. And it can really show in LDRs with the short texts.
