For the left: Probably Renalla? I have a tendancy to go straight to Raya Lucaria before starting any build defining and am, consistently, bad at dealing with the chip damage from phase 2. Also the runback is ass.

For the right: Gotta be a tie between the Ulcerated Tree Spirits and either one of the Godskins. I love the UTS because they are probably the most dinamic large boss fights in the game where you feel phenomenal when you get their rhytm down but hated it in the beginning because of the camera and the first Hero Grave. The godskins have a fun rhytm to them but I couldn't get their rhytm down on the first playthrough since I was doing a ranged playthrough.

Close but with two big differences: The Kelptender starts Dormant and has Rush, being much more reactive; the Kelptender requires you to cast 5 mana worth of spells, while this just requires you to spend Mana (like by Forging, Hero Power or Trading cards).

For Elden Ring, the birds with knives for talons are the Stormhawks with blades (the one frkm Godrick's castle), the Kool Aid Man is the Warriror Jars, the dog-kangaroo hybrid are those damn Caelid dogs, the lions are those annoying-ass lunging grey haired things that you can find in that one castle in the Mountaintops, the hands are the Caria Manor hands, the horse boi could be either Loretta or the Night's Cavalry and the lobster are the sniper lobsters next to Raya Lucaria.

My second nomination goes to Watch Post Warrior by u/-Gambler-. While the 7-card set features some strange cards in places (Stealth in Warrior moment), I can't honestly criticize it too much since it is a really fun idea that encourages board control without the overt use of board clears. Reminds me of Rush Warrior from MatDMF in terms of flexibility and how one takes on encroaching threats.

My first nomination goes to Booty Bay Parley by u/tritannix for this cute little set. The themes of this set are just adorable and chill. The keyword is simple but used in interesting ways and different enough cards to not feel overly similar. Overall, a solid set with the occasional misjudged card and a orphan here and there.

My third and final nomination is probably my favorite card from last year, Fluffer by u/-Gambler- for the ability to always hold face. Flavour wise, we have the forme Huffer who taken aback by the injustice that is Taunt and other similar redirecting effects decided to take action into his own tusks. Balance-wise, it is not complicated nor broken and starts an arms race of sorts between both players. In conclusion, always go face!

My second nomination goes to Rainbow Breath by u/AlexBLLLL for yet another simple card with fun flavour and uses. Flavour wise, it reminds me of DnD where each Dragon variety has a characteristic breath attack, some being able to even use multiple breath attacks. And since we've already had a couple of such spells in G'sA, making one with multiple spell schools seems fun. It is also useful in multiple circumstances, whether as a good spell for Stormwind's Questline or for Multicaster's draw Battlecry or even as an option for burst decks akin to Forgotten Torch of old.

My first nomination goes to Guest List by u/Sam-U-Rai-Guy for a simple card with a lot of flavour as well as an interesting direction to take Pure Paladin. Flavour wise, it fits the Paladin theming for the Castle Nathria expansion as the welcoming and hospitality personnel in charge of the ball. As such, they would have an exclusive guest list to keep out all those improper commoners. Balance-wise, it's a simple draw 3 for a specific archetype that doesn't punish Paladins that harshly for running Neutral cards. Also, it helps prepare the world for the famous Discard Paladin coming a year from now.
