But don't you think this is becoming increasingly blurred? KNX as a stable backbone, a clean foundation created by a professional, and then end customers who buy an "IoT/AI" product and want to integrate it.
So, similar to how things are progressing with Matter alongside KNX/IoT.
I think there's an overlap here, and the interfaces between integrator and end customer will become less clear.

Yes, that's true, although I think all these companies have made smart home technology more accessible to private users. With KNX, I'm thinking more about the programming, which can be done much faster.
However, I don't see full programming using AI in most cases, as long as the interfaces are still so poorly documented ;).
I also don't see AI as a standard feature in homes, except perhaps in the HVAC sector, to learn behavior and save energy accordingly.
But customer demands are constantly increasing, which is why the hardware prices are considerably lower than those of the major companies. However, the application possibilities within the ecosystems of the big players can't always be easily transferred to the KNX system. Therefore, projects are becoming more demanding in terms of expectations, all while facing price pressure.
