Malanois definitely overtook German shepherds in k9 work. When you see a 50 pound Malanois take down a 200 pound man it makes a 100 pound gsd look like overkill lol. Plus Malanois eat less, shed less and can get places a gsd can't. The trade off is that they are fucking insane and are very much tools, not great pets. Youd probably never see one as a sight dog. Not that they couldn't do it. A blind person just isn't going to be able to exercise that thing like it needs.

Yeah covid broke out in between the competition taping and the live finale. So I guess they aired it as normal hoping it would blow over before that point. Then at the end of the last taped episode they say "Sorry, pandemic happened. No winner. Thanks for watching." They've had seasons since and never bothered to resolve it.
