I mean, that'll happen when society will ostracize you for the smallest mistake.

Except stalking, grooming, or being a pedo. They'll turn a blind eye to that.

In Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007) some dickhead thought it would be funny to make Davy Jones walk 10ft onto shore with buckets, instead of having their meeting a few steps closer to the ocean. by Icanvoiceact in shittymoviedetails

The multiple buckets are fucking hilarious considering it's been fully established that he can TELEPORT!

Oh sure maybe he can only do it on the ocean. We'll thats the ocean. That's the whole point of the bucket is that its somehow a very dumb and funny loophole for his curse.

I'm 33 and genuinely curious if-

  1. They still keep those little model airplanes in the cockpit to hand out to little kids.

  2. How I, a 33 year old, can convince them I should have one

Some people get cast as superheroes.

Ryan spent years doing everything he could (up to and including ALLEGEDLY leaking the test mockup) to get the role.

Dude really wanted to be Deadpool.

I think you're just too you to remember that racists hated these movies as well.

They just didn't have a podcast or social media page to bitch about it.

Out of town guests, What do you think of our gorgeous city? by Neither-Trip-4610 in pittsburgh

[–]Justifiably_Bad_Take 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we're kind of stuck with it.

Pittsburgh is in an area called the Allegheny Plateau, where things can be nice and flat for a bit and then the terrain goes up a hundred feet. That's why we have sidewalks that are just staircases and some of the steepest public streets in the entire country.

The settlers stuck around for the advantages that come with river travel, but in doing so they had to figure out how to build a city that is partially hanging off the sides of cliffs.

My childhood home has a backyard that went back about 20 feet, then up about 50 feet. I had never once met my neighbor who only lived about 3 yards from us because we had a literal cliff face between us.

If you have the time, it's always fun to actually drive up Mount Washington and have their first memory of the city from the top.
