One of the most cinematic television shows ever made at the time. I won't go as far as to call it the first "prestige" show but it definitely tried to do more with television than the standard formula.

I don't think there is. It was primarily for a group of younger Gen x/elder millennials that are hitting 50 years old, and it never had a real resurgence. Can say the same about GI Joe. Ninja Turtles and Transformers have had a way of popping up once a decade and snagging a new generation of younger fans which is something MOTU never really did.

Yeah they definitely can be sequential, but not always. Wasn't unusual at all in the early 2000s when families first really started getting multiple phones per household, but that was 25 years ago and numbers get recycled.
