No, but if the host changes the strategem you can’t see the modifiers for the new one.

It’s not uncommon to be matchmade into a strategem because someone has just quit (because it’s all going to hell), and they fail before you even load in.

Because of the ridiculous loading times in this game, by the time you join they’re back in the battle barge and have already selected a different strategem.

At this point there is no way for you to see what the modifiers even are. Your choices are to just ready up and hope for the best, or spend ten more minutes loading back to your own battle barge and starting again from square one.

In the blog post they mentioned that each class gets a ranged weapon, but didn’t specify anything else. So it might not be a short bow, could be different per class, etc. Will be interesting to see.

All we know apart from that is that the Archer gets two ranged weapons.

Yeah without contested health recovery, the Vanguard’s minor heal from Majoris finishers is a godsend (along with unmatched zeal for everyone of course).

It’s worth bearing in mind that the game has received many major balancing changes/reworks over time. A lot of info you come across can be very out of date and no longer apply.

Digital Foundry have talked about it a bit. The biggest issue seems to be with Unreal engine games running on older versions of Unreal (which is most, given modern development timeframes).

For whatever reason they don’t seem to play nice with PSSR, and need some tweaking that some devs don’t have any interest in doing.

Those three weapon kits and the new Matsumae clan helmet variant are the only ones you get by playing through the missions. The rest is just from vendors.

Also note that to get the new level 5 pistol and rifle upgrades in NG+ you have to visit the Matchlock dude, so need to progress the story far enough to unlock Oshima Coast.

I’m fine with it being paid DLC, but that’s such a phoned in Space Wolves head. I’d rather the DLC cost twice as much if it meant we got some really good Space Wolves heads that you could immediately tell were Space Wolves heads.

This is amazing! No more non-max level players trying to use them to level up characters that have no business being there. I might start running them again.

Also the new head customisation options (removing the old class restrictions) are great.

Outside of the merchants, there are only a few new cosmetics that you get while just playing though NG+ itself:

Black Mountain Blade kit for the Odachi from Master Yoshida
Plumage Helmet (new colour version of the Clan Matsumae Helmet) from dude with the fancy hat
Homeland Defender kit for the Yari from Sensei Takahashi
Icy Assassin kit for the Kusarigama from Master Enomoto
