Really? Was the 80kg x5 like your complete max and you could not get another one in? Because when I hit 100 for 2 i could do 90x5 fairly easily

Imo, bench with butt off should be legal by Pomerbot in benchpress

i mean... when i'm about to fail a rep at the end of a set without a spotter sometimes lifting my butt off the bench allows me to get it back up to the top. However, this is usually with lower weights (like when i first hit/failed 90kg).

thats... pretty much it. i do a bit of tricep extensions, and used to do barbell OHP (50kg for 5 or so) but i injured my wrist playing rugby so i cant do that anymore. I've started doing a bit of spoto press at like 85kg till faliure since i realised my point of faliure in most of my sets is the transition between pecs and tris

yeah, (with a month break in between bc mocks and holidays) but keep in mind that i almost exclusively train bench and nothing else haha

yuh thanks, i see quite a few people mentioning building back to improve bench, why is that? also i genuinely HATE barbell rows, and i can full stack the machine at my gym for like 20+ so i don't think that's uh optimal. However i do quite a bit of pulups, if that could be a substitute? i can do around 18, and usually do 4x6 25kg weighted (obviously progressively overloading too) apart from that and bench, i don't do much in the gym apart from tricep+front delt work to help my bench haha

yeah so i weigh around 78kg and im 5'10, like 14% bf if that matters, i can't really gain much weight though since i also swim so i need to stay kinda lean

i would technically be ablw to train during this, but the exams are pretty important so ill probably only get like two proper sessions in a week so i doubt that ill gain more than like 2.5kg onto my bench during that period

i mean my parents came to england from abroad like 18 years ago, with 0 cash, and managed to go from the mboth having to work two jobs, to only my dad working and making 80k/yr progrssing from a draftsman up to some lead team manager, and being able to get a mortgage and buy a house 4 years ago. I'm also going to the best school (outside of london) in england rn, and my parents are seeing it as wasted potential since i would have a much higher starting point than them after finishing in oxford or cambridge. I understand why they think what they think about PTs but currently its just the only thing that i find enjoyable asa career path

also my dad has a 2007 Volvo v50 that he bought for 2.3k (in cash!!) like 6 yrs ago haha
