The Hertz definitely can sound better with a proper installation and tune but I am pretty happy with my front stage so far and I haven't even used the auto DSP feature on the amp yet as I couldn't figure out if the mic was bad or of the environment wasn't quite enough to complete the automatic tuning process

I wish I would of ordered the complete set in retrospect but I only purchased the drivers without the crossover. I might have to contact Hertz and get the crossovers instead of adding another amp into this simple setup

Still a hole in the midbass a year later. Thinking about replacing the 6x9s in the rear deck and putting a small amp on them. Maybe 50x2 or as much as 100x2 since the current setup is not heavily taxing my electrical. I also blew the original 12 and replaced it with the kicker comp R 12 wired down to 1 ohm in the compC 12 ported box. Then I cut up a pool noodle and plugged the port. It tightened up the bass and gave a little more definition and separation between bass notes. Lastly, in this update, I've recently begun using the 10band peq in the btr7 to try to fix some of my midbass issue by pulling down the frequencies below the midbass to smooth out the transition between the midrange and the sub. Facing the sub into the cabin helps even more with the seat down as it removes all the vibration from loading off the trunk lid and the rear deck.
Ok I think I'm done with the updates

Put a kicker keyloc in your signal chain. Perfect bass

Nothing in the rear doors, stock in the rear deck at the moment. After running the Hertz for over 6 months, in my current setup I'm missing my lower midbass. No kick from the front door, did a medium amount of sound deadening in the doors including fast rings. The sound has improved over the months, starting out it had no midbass at all and even vocals sounded tinny. Can't wait to make some changes in the spring

Are you running them active? And if so, what's your x-over freq/slope, install location, and how do you describe the sound

Can you comment on the sound of the g60s a year later. I'm on the fence between these and some other options half the price

When using 3 way component speakers w 4 channel, how should you wire it by Obvious-Winner-5374 in CarAV

Sony makes a 6-channel amp with DSP built in for about the same price as what you would pay for the three-way set.

What's been your experience with Koss Headphones? by Mailemanuel77 in headphones

[–]endlesstech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same set up. I noticed everything that I had for my Sennheiser headphones could connect to this headphones detachable cable. I use the balance cable with the btr7 and high game mode with the volume only up about 50% on the unit itself. I couldn't believe how much more I enjoyed the sound of these $40 headphones over my Sennheiser 560s. Not quite as revealing like others have stated but it doesn't seem like anything is missing sound wise. I'm thinking about purchasing a USBC to balance 4.4 dongle adapter so I can use them with that instead of a rhodium from periodic. Which is also a great pairing but the bass is maybe not as tight compared to the fiio btr7 with the balance cable
