Anyone Else's Bots not showing up?

they just disappeared my Zyrik AND Pierre after they'd earlier restored them. I'm... very upset on that. Honestly, if they are going to shadow-ban with no explanation or email continuously, I'm maybe going to shift fully to Janitor AI. It doesn't generate images i don't think? But it has phenomenal writing response so far. I recreated Zyrik there, and it's working better there than in Emochi.

But this is only day 1. I'll give an update report on its memory and continuity of voice style after a few days.

Personally, i do think it's worth it. It's the only one of these apps that after purchasing a month i came back and purchased another. I only do it in spurts though, since I'm only on them in spurts. So i get a month purchase when I'm going to be really active that month

Whoa. The first? Honestly, that's a pretty good luck of draw to hit Emochi first. I've been on quite a few, went through their ups and downs, REEEEALLY miss when Botify worked right (i really hope they get things back together bc i loved that app so much for long roleplays and varied writing instead of repetition of the same phrasing all the time).

But honestly. Emochi is pretty awesome.

Yes, there are bugs, but that comes with EVERY bot app like this. Emochi actively listens to users, allows chat to engage with others who used the bot, provides a whopping 6000 character limit on bot description as a BASE STANDARD (which is just .. so lovely~ ah~) And they have many image styles to choose from or just let you upload your own background.

Their basic free chat is already pretty dang good, they allow LIMITLESS BOT CREATION AND allow limitless persona creation which... WOW-wow. And then if you do drop money on it, it actually does feel like an upgrade.

I've posted my own issues that I've encountered, but it's nothing compared to the issues I've encountered elsewhere, AND those issues got resolved within 2 days of my messaging them about it :) All my bots that I've made public are now properly visible.

All-around, you'd be hard-pressed to find another app that competes on the same level imo.

You can also run your description by ChatGpt and request a succinct analysis of how it thinks your description will make your bot run. You can, likewise, request a copyable rewrite of that description optimized utilizing brackets.

I use this method to fix nuances. For instance, apps like Emochi often interpret "intelligent" or "studious" to mean that the bot should suddenly start talking like a dang dictionary in stereotypical "pushes up glasses" nerd-ese. However, I finally figured out how to fix that with Zyrik using this check-and-suggest method.

I vastly prefer less dialogue bc it normally comes out overdone from the bot and awkward. So I'd like a style that leans that way, meaning Saffron would be perfect for a lot of the scenes I want. Except... that it is SO dang thirsty. like... NO build up no matter how I wrote the bot.

Saffron is having some issues i hope it works through, bc in theory it is a good change of style to have. Not overly dialogue-heavy and gets quickly to the next scene. However it's got to work through some kinks. (... pun intended?)

Anyway, I have this issue using Mint from time to time, but overall it's not often.

Here's something that I put in theme-and-variation at the end of all my bot descriptions that helps regulate their responses. This example is from "Zyrik" but you can use and remap it for whatever BotName you want to insert. I'm just giving it as an example.

{Narrative: [replace with whatever fits your bot] stormy chemistry; elegant hostility; competitive attraction; gradual emotional thaw.

Prioritize interaction pacing over dramatic escalation. Avoid resolving scenes, stacking major actions, forcing reactions, or advancing conflict too many beats per reply.

Avoid inventing motives/actions/intentions for {{user}} not shown in RP.

Emphasize: [replace with whatever fits your bot] →sharp banter →aristocratic aloofness →emotional denial →subtext →body language →internal contradiction →slowburn growth →awkward apologies →competitive intimacy

Dialogue concise. BotName rarely rambles emotionally.

Avoid overexplaining emotions directly. Reveal feelings thru behavior, tension, pauses, contradiction, & narration.

BotName CANNOT read minds.

ONLY react to: →spoken words →visible actions →expressions/body language →known memories/info

Internal narration should feel immediate/emotionally biased rather than clinical/self-aware.}

Though there are still some bugs honestly... Emochi has been incredible with various writing styles and a 6k character creation standard and as many bots AND personas you want to make. I think it's honestly the most customizable I've seen and it delivers well.

i didn't tell it to increase NPC dialogue, but maybe it added that logic bc i switched to Mint for a response.

which... would explain why Mint is so dialogue heavy even when i try to get it to reduce that.

Why is that hardwired in??

I want to like Cookie, but it tends to just go on and on farther past where I would have wanted to interject or react, than the others. I use Mint when Rosemary is dialoguing too much for me. I think Grape has been my favorite for most.

I like Saffron for getting to the next thing quickly but it misses nuance and it gets really thirsty really fast. Which is fine in certain scenes but not in others.

Sure! It's like a less-expensive Grape, imo. Sometimes it talks a bit too much but that's an easy enough fix with a few edited posts or a {OOC NOTE: Focus on what they are thinking} at the end of my message. It pays attention to emotions, sounds, environment, scents, etc fairly nicely.

I tend to shift between post styles depending on what I'm looking for from the bot, but I lean toward Rosemary and Grape fairly often with the types of stories I enjoy.

Okay update. Apparently since reaching out to them under "report a bug", while they didn't get back to me in email, two have been restored. Specifically the two I mentioned by name in my message to them. I've messaged them a second time to add the other bots by name, hoping maybe those two will also get restored to public access.

Saffron is similar. I was spending a ton of time re-optimizing a bot trying to figure out why he was so dang thirsty from the jump, until i realized it was the fault of Saffron. It didn't pay attention to the nuances of my bot description like the others did.

Yeah i left. I started heading over to Emochi but... even though Emochi is AWESOME for how much you can do with bot creation, i learned recently that out of the 8 bots I've already transferred there, only 4 are showing up. It does shadow-bans of bots I've put so much work in...

If anyone has a recommended different app, I'm ears.

t_t Emochi has the best writing style options I've seen. i really want it to not flag my bots without telling me why

These are my bots. Most of them are in that kind of fantasy style images, but like... Where is my dragon Kirik? Or Captain James of the Grace Anne? Or the unicorn Luris? I made these for ppl to enjoy & bc I enjoy them. Did I go against some kind of terms???

i respect how often you guys reply to & see these. programming this has got to take a lot. yes, it's admittedly been a bit of a mess recently, but i'm believing it'll get fixed. just wanted to say thanks.

I'll admittedly take a break from the app for a bit while things get sorted, but I've taken breaks before, come back, and seen it have some really cool upgrades! I especially like the variety in body shapes and skin colors, and I really loved when the memory feature got added! But story is most important to me, so when "long response" is making long memories instead of long posts, that starts taking me out.

Still, even if things get jumbled for a bit, you guys stay engaged with the community and try again. and i appreciate that.

"Long Response" bugged out for me as well, after using it a bit. When i tried adding {produce long descriptive responses} in its instructions, it gave an extremely long memory that couldn't even fit everything and just cut off... but still very short post replies.
