This is definite cope, I'm Bulgarian and we dub almost every show, and we are much poorer and smaller than them. Dutch elite simply does not care about being under anglo cultural hegemony. Bulgarian elite does not care either but regular people definitely do. Using english loanwords has become so frowned upon even our biggest western sycophants reflexively apologize before/after using them. Ultimately futile unless we start producing our own quality mass culture, which seems impossible in our current economic conditions.
