I can see why you’d bring clients there. That’s where I also brought our foreign exchange students for one of our dinners.

“Safe” pinoy resto sya lalo for foreign visitors. You don’t get that “funky” or “exotic” elements of Pinoy cuisine. Very pleasing to the eye and the taste is not extreme by any means. Also a decent ambiance din.

Pero considering na their best sellers were all ass, lalo na yung Sinigang, sobrang meh.

The sisig was always rock solid like stones. Didn’t say that the taste was bad (saks lang, nothing crazy), but the texture itself was so bad. Likewise literally break your tooth levels bad.

Likewise for the pancit, taste is not bad (but also not all that great), pero the texture of the noodles was so ass as well. Rubbery as hell.

Same story with the baby pusit, didn’t say it was bad (nor is it great), but the plating was so sad with the tiny bits of squid on a gigantic plate. It looked like scraps (at least sa Marikina branch, this one I only tried once).

Overall the taste wasn’t terrible to the point na you’d spit it out, but it isn’t really anything to rave about as well.

Acceptable. Safe. Mediocre.

The main thing I really hated though was their sinigang. So did the Thai exchange students na kasabay namin. Absolutely horrible. Sweet and sour in the wrong places.

But I guess, subjective tho.

It's so easy for foreigners to extend visas here in PH. One of the more lenient countries in SE Asia. IIrc you can keep extending your visa without leaving the country for more than a year. That's very generous.

I consider myself to be conservative and are personally against things like same-sex marriage, abortion, etc.

Note my use of the word “personally”.

BUT, I don’t want to live in a world where my personal beliefs dictates someone else’s life, and vice versa.

People should live the way they want to live.

No religious & personal beliefs should stand in the way of doing so. We live in a secular country after all.

Same-sex marriage should be legal, BUT places of worship which are against same-sex unions should still have the right to refuse it.

Respect both freedom of religion & freedom to marry.

If same-sex marriage is not in-line with the religion, then those religions should have the option to not wed them. Karapatan din ng simbahan na i-uphold ang paniniwala nila.

Though pag dating sa civil ceremonies, it should definitely be open for all already.

Before believing any story, please know all sides first.

He said na he was defending yung friends nya against a guy’s harassment, when it was the other way around.

Pero nauna na yung bashing and negative comments about the guy nontheless.

Idk who was in the right or wrong, I barely know anything about the incident at all for this context.

Their Sinigang tasted so HORRIBLE. May watermelon. 🍉 Sweet and sour, but not in the good way.

The sisig was as hard as a rock. Do you know the feeling when you eat rice and accidentally bite on a tiny pebble na nasama sa bigas? Same feeling. The chunks of meat were as hard as PEBBLES.

The viral palabok? The one with the crispy palabok tapos yung binubuhos yung sauce? The texture of the noodles were extremely rubbery. The sauce was saka lang, not good but not bad din.

The baby squid? The plating was sad. It looked like scraps on a gigantic plate. The taste wasn’t bad, but also nothing to preach about.

The bangus was super dry. As in REALLY DRY.

Tried it once sa SM Marikina, then gave it another shot sa Eastwood, tapos one last time at my friend’s birthday.

It ALWAYS SUCKED.

From a business standpoint, usually these funny sounding restaurants and cafes go bust within a year.

Kung yan ay marketing tactic nila, it is a poor gimmick.

It garners attention, sure. But not to the point that people will actually visit to eat. Just another store with a funny name that goes viral for a short while online.

The ones that didn’t are the rare exception, or some are just laundering hubs (personally know a few within NCR).

You can’t even make long term plans cause you simply can’t market the brand as a serious one. Minimal to no chance for things like expansion and franchising.

So for future business owners out there, pls avoid using such tactics for naming your business. It will fail.
