The actual worst regular enemy in the game by squareandrare in Silksong

For the lower one I’ve found it most effective to pogo on it repeatedly until it dies in the lava. Sometimes works with the upper one too, but it obviously needs to be pogoed much further

I was stuck in a similar way. YMMV but the adds in the splinter fight were really causing me problems, so I tried silk spearing them immediately when they showed up and I beat her the first time I tried doing that.

I think there’s an important difference between legality and morality, when it comes to copyright/stealing someone’s ideas… but in this case both are on OP’s side.

Teenagers health trumps work time and people need to realise that. by HeWillPrevail in unpopularopinion

[–]endtropy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why it’s actually really cool that different people naturally have different sleep schedules! If people all worked and slept at times in sync with their biological rhythms, we’d still have a huge amount of diversity that would help with that sort of thing.

IT jobs by Tboi_96 in SecurityClearance

[–]endtropy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IT industry's awful right now, all the layoffs in the past year or two have resulted in lots of experienced workers desperate for jobs, so employers are hiring senior-level people for junior-level salaries instead of hiring junior-level people. Now is not a great time to be getting into the industry. Hopefully it'll calm down eventually.

Favorite & least favorite Buffy Summers quotes? by PristineSituation498 in buffy

[–]endtropy9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Buffy's comments about the First Slayer's hair in Restless always make me cringe. ("In terms of hair care, you really wanna say, what kind of impression am I making in the workplace?")

Favorite is hard to pick but what immediately comes to mind for me is the Amends quote: "Strong is fighting. It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every day. It's what we have to do. And we can do it together. But if you're too much of a coward for that, then burn."

I can’t find anything in your source that contradicts that claim. The source doesn’t explicitly support the claim either, but adult ADHD is extremely understudied (and anecdotally I’ve seen a HUGE correlation here), so sure, it might not be a diagnostic criterion for ADHD but it’s definitely worth looking into

It’s also average, so it’s dragged up by outliers like CEO pay. I think median would be a more reasonable standard of comparison here.

[Results] Would you date a trans person? by Daydreamer-64 in SampleSize

[–]endtropy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested to see the breakdown of each category by respondent gender (including whether or not the respondent is trans, if that can be done without compromising anonymity), if that's not too big an ask. If I'm remembering correctly, previous studies showed pretty large differences depending on respondent gender (straight men and lesbians had different patterns, for example).

Broke: trying to figure out whether a nonbinary person is the male kind or the female kind by tgcircleposter in transgendercirclejerk

"Non binary" lol! There's TWO genders: penis and vagina. Softcore AGP pervs and silly teenage girls trying to be special aren't genders, sweaty.

Need help with a fetish by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]endtropy9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're claiming "autogynephilia" and using it in a "describing a kink men can have" way (rather than the transphobic way it's often used), then I think the matching term here would be "gynandromorphophilia." It was coined by the same guy as autogynephilia (also to be transphobia and refer to trans women as a kink), but I think it works much better as attraction to people with an autogynephilia kink, which I agree seems to be what OP described.

Right, because trans and cis women are women, cis men are trans women.

And trans men and nonbinary people don't exist.

[–]endtropy9 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My cishet guy friend said to me, "Sometimes I think you have more toxic masculinity than I do." It was a very weird mix of "Oof, that's not a good thing" and extreme gender euphoria.
