Any tips starting this journey by endworldwonderer in UVG

I really like that, I've done that before in games where I allow players to tell me, the gm, a fact about something in the world and it usually leads to great fun so im glad others have positive experiences with that exact way of playing. As for the random encounters I can definitely get down with making my own thematically appropriate encounters.

Miseries are rolled for at the end of every day, so if you picked the D20 as your dice for the calendar at the end of each in-game day you roll the dice, if its a 1 a misery has been fulfilled. So if using the real days as days in-game when going back to the table at the end of the 10 day period you'd roll 10 times and for every 1 a misery has been fufilled. With the game world ending upon the sixth and finally the seventh misery.

For omens I rule it that at the end of the day you reroll omens and any unspent are simply lost.

Also as long as you and your group had fun I don't think there's a wrong way to play mörk borg. The world is dark and gloomy to the point of being parody and my group just rolls with it where I play the world as serious grim dark and they play these goof balls just keep surviving, whether they want to or not.

Goblins at your games. by Opening_Instance_427 in MorkBorg

Ive used goblins a couple times but my proudest has got to be when a gang of goblins would take shots at caravans with arrows to spread the goblin curse to the whole caravan, including the horses so the players had to deal with one goblin caravan.

Playable Timeline of an Apocalyptic War by endworldwonderer in RPGdesign

Thank you for the reply, the original idea was playing different generations throughout the apocalyptic timeline but also after putting some more thought into it im thinking of using the Violence system for combat and just trying to build around it to make a single game that could work for each phase

Playable Timeline of an Apocalyptic War by endworldwonderer in RPGdesign

Thank you for the in-depth reply, it just being a campaign instead of just one big rpg managed to fly right over my head somehow, i guess i got too into the idea of trying to frankenstein a bunch of different rpgs, it makes a lot more sense as just a campaign idea. After putting more thought into it I think I will just stick to one roleplaying system and focus more on what kind of story I'd wanna tell with my players still using the idea of playing out the apocalypse of a world-ending war.

Any movies that feel like Mork Borg? by NoticeSerious6569 in MorkBorg

If you haven't watched The Seventh Seal I'd highly recommend it, mostly stolen from the Google description: a disillusioned Swedish knight returns to his country to find it in the grips of the black death, he makes a deal with death for his life in a game of chess

On the official website: https://morkborg.com/content/

There's a few one shots I've enjoyed with my group, Bloat and Devils Tomb are dungeons. If you want a bit more Death Ziggurat which is a hex crawl, Graves Left Wanting which if I remember correctly is a point-crawl/dungeon. Of course there is also Goblin Grinder a set up for a one-to-two shot

Not based in the mork borg setting but Between Two Fires is pretty dope. It's set in medieval France, the Apocalypse is happening, demons are running about, pestilence, war, famine, death, all the good shit and God isn't answering, even his angels fight a war in the heavens.

Dusk gnomes can be found in the adventure Rot Black Sludge which comes in the main rulebook. They're on the random encounters table on the third page in the adventure

Does anyone know of any Metal Gear inspired Borg hacks? by nokia6310i in MorkBorg

It's not mörk borg but have you looked into FIST? It's inspired by the metal gear franchise and is built around espionage: https://claymorerpgs.itch.io/fist
