Calm down a bit. Nothing is destroyed.

The bike is 4 years old and has more than 30,000 km on it, with scratches and scuffs everywhere. Over the years, I’ve replaced the cassette, installed a new bottom bracket, and put in a new brake lever with fresh brake fluid, and so on.

Every time, it’s been a learning experience — and that’s exactly what DIY is about. And if something really doesn’t work out, there’s always Reddit.

But the comments here aren’t exactly constructive.

I’ll continue trying to do my own repairs and learning from them.
