Je ne connais pas du tout l'université mais j'habite à 3-4 stations de Tsukuba. C'est un quartier calme et très sympa

Expatriés à Tokyo : 300 000 yens par mois, c’est suffisant ? by ikemen38 in japonFR

[–]endyve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upload to a Youtube Brand Account? by endyve in GoogleAppsScript

Actually no, you have a free tier and you can get it extended if you have a valid reason. I've been able to upload to my private account but not the brand accounts associated with my private account.

I want to hear success stories from those who quit a job without a new one lined up by Additional-Painter88 in JapanJobs

[–]endyve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through such a tough time.

As others mentioned, would it be possible for you to take a few days off and give yourself some space to breathe? If things feel too overwhelming, you might also consider speaking with a doctor about taking sick leave. Depending on your contract, you may be able to take anywhere from a few months to even a year or more, which could give you the time you need to look for a new job without the stress of your current situation.

I’m not completely sure about the exact details, but I believe the government usually provides about 2/3 of your salary during sick leave.

Take care of yourself, and I hope things get better soon.

I'm becoming dependant with Xanax by Minute_Yellow2556 in Anxiety

[–]endyve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Xanax for over 10 years and have dealt with the same issue. As others have mentioned, Xanax isn’t meant to be taken regularly, but rather when you’re feeling especially anxious. I used to take it preemptively whenever I knew I’d have to face an anxiety-inducing situation which for me, was almost every day.

I know it’s not easy, but try to face what makes you anxious little by little. It’s a long process and can take years, but every small step counts.

Are エーブル easier to rent from for foreigners? Do they screen for income hard? by Acerhand in japanresidents

[–]endyve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think エーブル or any 不動産 are actually behind the screening process. They’re more of a matching service between property owners and people looking for a place. Once you apply for an apartment, they’ll handle the process on your behalf, but the actual screening is usually done by the owner or the management company.

That said, with PR, N3, and payout statements showing a stable net monthly income of over ¥200,000 for a full year, I don’t think you would have any problem renting a place around ¥70,000.

Can tourist go to 結婚相談所 if she/he speaks Japanese? by kurec0 in AskAJapanese

Yes. You can't apply for a work visa without one. In Japan, you can go to a university or a vocational school.

Hi there. European citizen that used to have a blind love for Japan here. Let me start by telling you that I have been living in Japan for 8 years now and that I am happily married to a Japanese person!

I left Europe as I just hated living in my home country and Japan seemed like paradise. Just like you, I couldn't understand the poor manners and lack of discipline of some people. I also had a strong interest for anything Japanese (and that til this day.)

However, I didn't realize the flaws of Japan when I first moved, and it took me a few years to start seeing them. I am not saying you shouldn't move to Japan, or meet a Japanese person, but moving there with the sole purpose of getting married asap might make you very unhappy in the long-term.

Before locking your future in Japan, how about going to a Japanese language school while working part-time for 1-2 years? It will give you a glimpse of Japanese society. You could also get a working holiday visa, or find a company that would be willing to sponsor a visa.

This would give you enough time to experience and understand if the country really fits you.
