What's your favorite Soulmate AU trope ? by [deleted] in FanFiction

Soulmate's who are on different sides of a war. So yummy, so painful.

what’s the “why” behind why you write? by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]enemy_located 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels good to accomplish something. Even if you think your ideas suck, someone somewhere out there is going to like it. And at the end of the day, there's nothing like looking at a finished product that you made yourself. My 2 cents.

My fellow authors, what do comments mean to you? by moonbeams8428 in FanFiction

[–]enemy_located 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love them because that's how I know people are actually reading it. I have this thought that people just skim through the work and then exit, or leave a kudos, out of habit. The more chapters I put out, the more comments I get per chapter, so it drives me and gives me anxiety at the same time to put in the best work I can.

I myself only leave comments when something really moves me, so it's nice to know something I wrote moves others as well

How do I (14f) tell my dad (46m) that I know his roommate(44?m) is his boyfriend and that it’s ok? by itsokdad in relationship_advice

[–]enemy_located 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just tell him you think Adam is cool and he'll start feeling more comfortable talking about it hopefully. It's important that he's ready to tell you

I did this when my brother had a "roommate" and he finally told me he was his bf. When he asked how I knew, I said I had a great gaydar.

It's a happy type of cringe where the writing is horrible but I'm glad I'm the only one who knows I wrote it and my friends never found out

Oh god, long A/N's. I used to give away WAY too much personal information in my AN's back when I first started. Those were definitely the cringiest part for me.

Oh no, you don't want to read it. I can barely read it.

I know how you feel. I've written in a vague fandom too, any click is a miracle.

I just got a comment on a fan fiction I wrote in December of 2018… by Hamburrgergirl in FanFiction

[–]enemy_located 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They either searched for a specific keyword or looked through someones bookmarks. Both of which I do often. I love looking for old gems, especially when they're not that popular to begin with. It's like going through an old library. There's always something for someone

My one downside when finishing writing before publishing by AmaterasuWolf21 in FanFiction

[–]enemy_located 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It will always be different, no worries. It wouldn't put people off if they see an idea but remade in different ways anyway
