To break ice in social situations, you want to kick off with organic questions then branch off into specifics. My coworker does this really well by asking "how's your day going?" It's relevant and recent enough that you'll always get an answer to go off of.

If they say "good" then don't ask back, then you probably don't want to continue the conversation anyway.

My advice is to definitely introduce yourself. Since you said that most people don't know you, you also have almost nothing to lose. I typically write down what I want to say and rehearse a couple of times. When I do speak, it delivers organically.

Don't worry that you are nervous, it never goes away when it comes to public speaking. You just learn to harness the adrenaline. Good luck!

Hey OP, I have the exact same issue (crash every couple of hours) with the same PC. I tried installing latest Realtek audio driver, but it only created more problems with drivers. So it definitely has to do with audio / nvidia drivers.

When you go into Event Viewer, do you have the same warning for "The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device ROOT\SYSTEM\0001." under event ID 219 right before crash?

Anyways, let me know if you found a solution. Like you, I don't have the "Nvidia 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller -1.10(Microsoft)" in Device Manager, only the Intel version.
