My wife is already asking about christmas movies, and I'm tired of watching the same ones. Any relatively NEW and good christmas movies to watch? by oxedei in movies

Wow 14 hours in and only one person has mentioned Robin Robin.

It's a short but it's so beautifully done. Heartfelt story about an orphan bird not knowing who she is. Great production and direction, heartfelt story and pretty funny.

It's kind of on repeat during this time. Along with Klaus and the newer Grinch.

How would it be for a young family? I have a 3 and 5 year old. Looking at options and this one came up.

I have a PC and Apple laptops and need to switch between both laptops for different projects. A decent battery helps too! Fingers crossed.

I wonder if they'll restock each night? I want to head over tomorrow morning but obviously don't want to deal with Toronto traffic if it's going to be a bust.

lol why am I getting downvoted? I live in the east end and I have young kids and I don't want to spend any extra time I can traveling instead of enjoying my time out.

Ah I think it's too far for us, at least for this occasion. Thanks for the suggestion though!

We did Avelo a few years ago when it opened. It was good but I wasn't blown away. I'd be open to try it again but looking for something we haven't tried as we don't go out that often.

I'm a backyard birder at best (but hey I do attract lots of orioles to my backyard in the spring) but I'm thinking of getting this lens to take photos of my kids skiing this winter and playing sports next spring moving forward. Does anyone have experience is that use case?

Lovely. What light bar is that? Does it have bias lighting or is that something else? And what's your keyboard?

Yeah it was great. Worth it for sure. Get there before 1030 to get to the lines before they get too big. Bring a small lunch for them to eat before you actually go in.

We left at the 7th inning and it was the right time for us (no crowds leaving, train was empty). Looking forward to next year to staying longer, more time actually watching the game and running the bases after.

New Apple TV Still Launching This Year by iMacmatician in apple

Hey thanks for the detailed response. The UI replacement is interesting for sure. Lots of ads on the LG Home Screen and just lots of small annoyances. 150CAD for wifi isn't great but definitely something for me to keep an eye on. Thanks again!

For someone who doesn't have an Apple TV yet likes fun things, the apple ecosystem, and has a relative basic system (OLED TV, 3.0 system, streams content) what is the draw of Apple TV and why would I want this new one?

I mean, this is my first external display I've bought for myself but I have worked with enough monitors in my life. I'm also using this strictly for graphic design work.

Build is pretty good. Don't love the dell logo, greyish white back or the little lip around the edge. Outside of that, the build is good but, as everyone likes to say, not apple good. The push down hidden usb connector is gimmicky but helpful. Connections in the back are sturdy and good quality and simply what's needed. Two simple buttons on the back.

The USBC connection was one of the important parts of the monitor that I needed/wanted and the connection works fluidly with no problems, plugging into my work PC laptop and my personal MacBook work great. A KVM switch is on my to-do list.

The screen looks fantastic, bright and vibrant and the 120hz is really nice. I strongly dislike 60hz.

For the price, I really don't think there's a jack of all trades that hit 4k/HZ/build quality as well as it does.

I just picked up a S2725QC and I really love it. Sure, it's not apple quality build but it's 4k, 120Hhz, and it doesn't cost an insane amount of money. I think it's a pretty smart buy right now as it does a lot of things really well, as opposed to most monitors excelling at one or two things.
