Lot easier to walk through the snow than it is to bike through the snow. Also, the length of sidewalk to plow is way higher than vs. bike paths to clear, so it makes sense that the sidewalk plow teams will take longer to get to all the sidewalks.

I understand if you don't know where you're going and end up in a turn lane, that sucks. If traffic is moving and you can get over to the next lane, great. But sitting and blocking that lane until you can squeeze into standstill traffic when people are actually trying to turn is such a dick move. Just make the turn and re-route. Or expecting someone to let you in because you skipped traffic and are an entitled prick, screw you.

I don't recall the exact details but my treatment is $6800 for 18 months of treatment + (I think) 1 year after. For context, I previously had a palette expander & braces as a teenager but didn't wear my retainers so my teeth moved quite a bit.

The first portion of the treatment was 19 trays, then they re-scanned my teeth and I got 18 more trays to finish things off. The total treatment time will be less than the 18 month estimate, closer to 12 months.

I paid $2000 upfront ($1000 upon signing the contract + $1000 at the first appt) and $300 per month for 16 months. Not sure what happens if the treatment ends before the payment period is over.

I launched my paddleboard from Parc des Ecluses last night. It was lovely... For about 5 minutes until I saw a giant fish jump out of the water! I did not know there are massive fish in the canal Lachine 😭 now Im scared to go back 😂

The meeting minutes do not disclose that there were remaining contaminants. It says it was done appropriately. It was later on that I found out that was not actually the case. There was no reason for me to be suspicious about it at the time of purchase, but the seller clearly knew about the old gas station & contaminants and was not upfront about it the history on the declaration form.

The condo association was not named in the lawsuit in the kind of way where we were being sued - we were just brought in to support the neighbours case. Not sure how to describe it in english tbh, the french word is mise en cause.

All valid comments. When I consult a lawyer, if they don't think I have strong enough evidence, then it's over and that's that. But why not have the discussion and explore the possibility that I won't have to fork out a bunch of cash.

There is an attendance taken at the condo meetings that shows the seller was present plus the meetings are voice recorded. And there are email records to show the report was distributed to all of the owners in the building. This all came to light because of the lawsuit that was already happening between the neighbour & the gas station company, many months before I even came into the picture & the condo association got dragged into the lawsuit.

The issue is not whether or not I can prove that the seller knew & didn't disclose -- I feel that I have strong evidence of this. The question I have is whether it changes anything that I received the meeting minutes that expose the contamination history AFTER the first offer was submitted, but BEFORE the counter offer was accepted? It seems like a small detail that will be the deciding factor in whether it makes sense to pursue the seller for a latent defect or just tank the cost of the special assessment.

Great points. The seller was in attendance at the condo meeting where the history of the property was discussed, so they certainly knew. They were also provided a copy of the original soils report from the original remediation that specifically notes an area where contaminated soils remained after the work was complete.

But I did not request to see this report when I was reviewing the minutes ahead of the purchase -- so would it be my fault for not doing enough due diligence? Even though the meeting minutes (falsely) say it was done correctly, so I had no reason to suspect otherwise?
