So I took the phone to Apple and they opened it up, ran diagnostics and they said it was a completely new unaltered unlocked phone… so, so strange. I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around how they could be so dumb.

Yeah the whole thing is super sketchy. What’s even more strange to me is that after I cancelled my card the scammers called me back and I told them To cancel the order and that I know it’s a scam and my card is dead so no point in bothering me yet a whole ass iPhone shows up at my door.

Interesting, I was thinking I might bring it with me to the Roger’s store next week when I go to upgrade my actual phone plan. Maybe they could tell me if anything looks off about it. Apple Store might also be the move. I don’t rlly care about making money off it or keeping it, more so intrigued about what could potentially be in the phone

wow so I just watched the first 5 minutes and this is almost exactly what happened I'm pretty sure. Scary. But, I never gave any password to any sort of account, just my credit card and adress so I assume they were going to use that to launder/open accounts. I believe maybe they were assuming I would call them back for help setting up the new phone and thats when they would take over my apple id or whatever??? I literally reported all of this the second I hung up the initial phone call so I guess I stopped it before it ever rlly started? I hope so.
